I got invited on a very late notice to cedar point and I'm not sure what rides to avoid. I am currently 5'10...275 with a waist of 42 inches. My shoulders and upper body are not the issue, I am worried about my larger thighs, waist and bottom. I'd have to say my body is pretty proportionate...slightly muscular due to biking my whole life. I went in June of 2014...I was right under 250 at the time and had a hard time on Wicked Twister and the 'normal' rows of the Gate Keeper...(I hear there are certain rows with larger belts perhaps????)...but was still able to ride both. Since I've gained weight I am nervous what will be different. I haven't been to CP since 2014 so I am unsure what the seating situations are on ANY of the new roller coasters! (Raptor 2.0 and Valravn...missing any others?) I started a lifestyle change about a week ago but obviously miracles don't happen overnight ;) any suggestions/tips are much appreciated!
I'm 6'4" ~285lbs (goddamn thyroid issue means I can't look at food without gaining weight). I was just there for CoasterMania! and I was able to ride everything except Raptor (no big seats) and Wicked Twister (didn't even try)... MF & TTD was a fight but got the belt clicked every time. Note the belt at the test seat for MF wasn't even close (3"), but I was able to ride. GateKeeper and Rougarou have red belts in row 4, Valravn has 1 in the first & third rows and 2 in the second row.

Wicked Twister I wouldn't even try. At 6'1 220, i hardly fit in it. Millennium and Dragster I would try the test seat first. Valravn ha "big boy seats" in the middle of every row. Look for the red seatbelts. GateKeeper has the larger seats in row 4. I don't believe that Raptor has differing sizes, and I would ask about Rougarou, because I'm not sure about that one.
On another note, keep up with your lifestyle change. As a person that knows how to cut weight, you should avoid as much saturated fats and sugar as possible. Saturated fat is fat soluble, so it stays in your system. Unsaturated is fine. Sugar makes you bloated if taken in large doses. You may want to try either a high (unsaturated) fat, low carb diet; or a high carb, low fat diet. Each one works differently for different people.
