Tony and Tyler done hyping things?

I figure they must be done hyping things since we have heard pretty much nothing on the new ride from them. I mean the announcement should be coming within the next couple of weeks!

I don't think STR was over-hyped. I was expecting a flume and I loved the hints and clues. They were fun. Many people got mad though about it being "over-hyped" which I found so ridiculous.

After all of the complaints I think they're just done with the hyping which stinks it has to be ruined by some immature people because they did not get their beloved 500 foot coasters.

Or this project doesn't have the same media plan as StR.

And its hard to say they are "done" when they never did anything to begin with so therefore never started hyping things.

I'd give it time. They know the hype machine has already begun, and they kicked off speculation with their "steak" post a few days ago. If they're done hyping, then they're probably done working.

The CP site is down right now. The hype machine is controlled by the public, Tony and Tyler just toss a couple bones out there and we do the rest :)

I might as well do the honor. Your post from 3 minutes ago said the site was working. Unless you are lying that is a fact. So why do you now say the site is not working?

Amazing how the people who complain about the "OMG!!!!, WTF*!!??? :)"crap are the ones who perpetually keep posting about not doing it. Not commenting to it would eliminate 50% of the posts (no I have no facts to back that up - maybe someone else will do the fact checking) which would in turn eliminate the other 50% of the stupid posts which in turn would make this whole site a whole lot more enjoyable like it used to be.

Could it be that there is nothing new to promote? Or its nothing exciting like another addition to Breakers. In the past when there was a new ride it seemed T&T were so excited that leaving clues was all they could do to keep from blurting it out.
I agree with the comments above that the "hype" is made by enthusiasts.

I understand Jugga's post was sarcasm. My point was that it just isn't funny anymore. Between the not so smart posts and the people bashing the not so smart posts this site has degraded to the equivalent of a bunch of kids on the play ground saying how their dad can beat your dad up. It just becomes a bunch of nonsense.

95% of the time someone uses "OMG", "ZOMG", "500 ft", or a bunch of exclamation marks its either DJ or Juggs in some weird straw man fashion. It's like some creepy relationship they have. Often times, like above, it's in no way warranted.

Yes, I made one serious post, and followed it up with a joke. Does humor escape you? Does every thread have to be 100% serious all the time?

If so, why don't you go start your own site where you can mod-nazi the entire thing so that everyone is always on topic and focused all the time.

I think the overzealous statements are a little excessive. I very, very rarely see anyone use those phrases (OMG, ZOMG, !?!?!?!?!) in a serious manner. It's not my site though, and I don't really care, but Shades did have a point.

I realize no one actually uses those phrases, but jokes are meant to go over the top. It makes a caricature of the people who hinge on every little detail they can find on the website or facebook or twitter. And there are people out there like that, but that's the fun of making a joke at a generality, it's not a personal dig at anyone in particular.

And no, he didn't have a point.
