I went with my wife, brother, and his family to this new restaurant in the Hotel Breakers. It replaced Dominics, which served Italian food (never ate there, but seemed subpar). I wanted to let my fellow PB'ers know that it was an enjoyable experience.

The tables are setup hibachi style, which allows for a cook to prepare your orders with flair in front of you. The chef assigned to our table was very personable, and he made quite a show of it. You know its going well when he offers to squirt Saki from a squeeze bottle into your open mouth! (Yup, I did it). The onion volcano was also fun to see (use your imagination).

I ordered the chicken, and, at $18.95, it was a full, satisfying, tasty meal. Others in our party ordered the steak and scallops. All reported good meals and full bellies. They serve sushi as well. Only tried one roll between all of us, but it was good as well.

So, if you are willing to spend a few bucks more than for cheese on a stick or about the same for a subway sandwich (had to throw that one in), you can have a good meal, in a nice setting, that will leave you with some good memories.

Glad you liked it! Unfortunately it wasn't open yet when I got to the Point. :(

I was just there on Wednesday. I did a little write-up in the "families" thread. I really enjoyed it, and will be going back before the year is up.

In fact, I'm kind of on a sushi kick right now as far as lunch goes, I just got back from a nice sushi lunch, 2nd time this week. :)

Took the fiance and daughter there last night as well.. We tend to like these kind of places.

It was good.. the chef was amazing.. and I now remember why I don't drink Sake all the time..Pricing is on par with places like Benihana or the like. If you're not used to those kind of places, there can be a little "sticker shock" but it's well worth it.

Overall, good food, our chef was fantastic, and the Sake was good. Could possibly be the best restaurant choice that CP has made.

Yeah, we had just come from Bubbles at Soak City- where we were 2 of maybe 10 people in the park. It was great because we basically rode each slide in a matter of 15 minutes, then went and sat at the bar.

By the time I got to Tomo, I had already spent a fair amount on drinks, so I decided to pass on the sake, being that I've had a decent amount of them elsewhere, anyway.

Next time, though.:)

Sake Bombs.... mmmmm...

I'm really excited to try this place out. We have 5 different places around here for Sushi and 2 Hibachi places... I'm normally just a Sushi guy, but I may have to venture outside my norm to enjoy the show at the table. Do they have a large selection of sushi rolls?

Am I the only person who finds hibachi places kind of cheesy? I've yet to find one that had food as good as any of the small places tucked away in strip malls or the corners of ethnic areas in various cities.

^ Yeah, but compared to the rest of the culinary (if you want to call it that) line up at the Point, hibachi is quite a welcome addition.

Good point.

Josh, we should all visit Tomo next time we're in the park. I've always enjoyed the atmosphere of hibachi restaurants.

And I wouldn't mind some sake......oh wait I'm only 19.;)

Fast forward to July 2011 ~ We had dinner at Tomo tonight. The food was excellent, but the service was terrible!!! We had to ask for silverware/chop sticks when an appetizer arrived. Then three of us never got our salads. One meal was served and about 18 minutes later two more came, then five minutes later the last one finally arrived. We didn't do the Hibachi of course. Not sure what the problem was... :(
