Toll fee confusion!

Two weeks ago we drove to CP just to go to the Hotel Breakers area. We were not going to stop, just look at the rides. I have done this many times and paid 50 cents to do so. This last time, I was told it would be 12.00 just to drive around the point. 12 dollars? Any ideas on this?

Probably because they have no way of knowing whether or not you were actually going to look at the rides or going to go park and enter the park. You used to be able to pay full price for parking but as long as you returned to them within the hour they refunded all the parking fee except for the 50 cents causeway fee.

^This is normally how it is done. You pay full parking price and then if you leave within the time they tell you, you simply stop at the main toll booth on the way out for a refund minus the fee. If you have gone in before on just the fee, then the toll attendant took it on good faith that you would only be stopping for a short amount of time and not parking. I am pretty sure this is still the policy so if you had stopped on your way out and still had the receipt, you would have received a refund.

The policy is still the same. Must have been a Fundraiser! *rolls eyes*
