Toledo Mayor Candidate promises amusement park

Yes, she said the amusement park will be placed in an area called Prominade Park. Now if you're at all familiar with downtown Toledo it's the park down along the waterfront on the west side of the river. It's teh area used for Rally by the River and is probably big enough to put in a wild mouse, maybe 2 flat rides, an admissions booth, a restroom and a lemon chill stand and that's about it.

If you watch past her opening statements in the video on the TV stations site, the first question is exactly that. Asking her where and if any other buildings will have to be torn down.

I know people with bigger front yards basically. She's a nutjob.

Yeah...My math teacher was telling the class about this today. I just laughed. I heard some other stuff about the other indepent canidates but im drawing a blank at the moment. Funny stuff tho.

I'd suggest a glass tunnel through the Maumee River, but if you have any idea what kind of crap floats around in there, you'd understand why I won't suggest that. ;)

Not to mention the fact that those lake and ocean liners BARELY make it through there in some spots now.

Yeah, the promanade park is a very small area like Red Garter Rob said. Having people work on 5 rides and 2 concession stands really seems to nullify the whole Toledo employment problem, gotta give her some credit. lol

Opal Covey went down my street in Toledo last week in her hatchback from the 80's and a billboard on top of it. She uses her speakers to yell "vote for Opal Covey, she's the one for mayor". It should also be noted that at one time she was housing a few dozen dogs and other animals.....which I believe were siezed by the city.....Also, Toledo did have a Harry Traver coaster at Willow Beach Park somewhere in T town...see the ACE publication-Legends of Terror.

There might be a video of it at 13abc.com. They had the debate and I remember seeing something about the video was available at their site.

They did have the debate in it's entirety over at the website but it appears to have been taken down. Makes sense it is a time sensitive story.

Nope.. it was in her closing statement from the debate televised on ABC 13. She got a pretty good round of boo's from the crowd.

I also hear you can find it in the FREE VOD section on Buckeye's Digital Cable.

Some people are just plain dumb. She is obviously handicapped, and anybody who would happen to vote for her needs to be put out of their misery.
