Today 9/15/06

I am a 24 year old male who is wanting to hit the point today. But I am stuck without a car, so I am looking for someone willing to pick me up, I live within 3 minuets of the park, so it is not really out of the way.

Not allowed to walk on the causeway, so can't do that. And I can't ride a bike either, for the same reason. Which is why I am trying to find some help here.

just sit at the main road to the causeway. your sure to find someone who will let you jump in the car if your going to save them the parking fee. I've done it a few times when I stay at breakers express and the rest of the group doesn't want to go to the point for the evening.

yeah if nothing else I will probably do that, but I figured I would try this and see what happens. You never know :)

While they might not like it, go to one of the Comfort Inns and wait for the shuttle. They don't check for your reservations or anything. Just look like a guest. By the way, I never tried this, but it seems easy to do after staying at the hotel back in July.

I tried that one time, and was told that I had to show them my room key. I was stuck on the point and trying to get off, I told them that I left the room key with my room mates who left earlier and the driver let me get on anyway, but he said that he was not supposed to.
I would really rather not risk it, not to mention that I am basically an honest guy and really don't like to break the rules if I don't have too.
I really wish CP would offer a shuttle onto and off the point, considering that they don't allow walking, bikes, or hitchhiking, it would make sense to me that they would offer some kind of shuttle if needed, but no nothing.

You can't walk to CP in any way? What about the Chaussee?

Probably but it is around 10 miles out of my way, way to far to walk.
BTW called a taxi at 5:40 (city taxi service) and still not here, I am giving him till 7:30 before I just don't bother anymore. I don't recomend them at all.

I just got off the phone with the taxi service, the guy (I assume it is only one taxi) had already gone home, said he forgot.
