Tips for first time Raptor/Mean Streak rider...

Okay my brother (QuantumForce2005) I think an me are going to Cedar Point the 20th. He persists he will go on Raptor but not sure About Mean Streak. Hes never went upside down on a rollercoaster before an I'll know he will probably chicken out. I think its the fear of hitting the otsr while upside down. Can you people give him tips for a first time ride.Im pretty sure he can go on Mean Streak since hes went on Gemini and the hill on Ms is slower or (feels like) going down the hill then gemini.Thank u

Just tell him to enjoy...Tips won't make him feel any better about going on..If he's scared he will still be scared tips or no tips :)

If there is one to tell ya it would be to not sit so stiffly with your back on MS..sit forward a bit..it lessens the jolting around and thrashing he's gonna get..But remember..Wood is supposed to be rough

Long live MS!! Keep the chiropractors in Sandusky in Business!!

Wheres the Electricity!
Mean Streak - Place your back completely against the back seat, making sure that your rear end is as far back as it will go. Then, once you're at the top of the lift hill, lean forward. Keep your back off the seat back. In addition, holding on isn't the worst idea in the world on this one.

Raptor - If you have the patience, wait for the front seat. The view is spectacular. If you don't want to wait for the front, grab the back. The forces pulling you through the elements are incredible! And don't worry about hitting the OTSRs. The G's will take care of that!

If he promised you that he'd go on the rides make him stick to his promise, thats how I finally got my 10 year old sister on Raptor and Magnum this year and she loved them both.

right on, Duane. I used to love the front seat on Raptor, but then my friend told me he wanted to ride in the back. I agreed, and since then, I have to be in the back row, on the far right side! It doesn't get any better than that! And as far as inversions go, the centripital force (or whatever you want to call it) going through them keeps you from hitting them hard enough to even notice.
