Have you ever seen anyone coming into the station with the slightest smile on their face? NO! people are asking why did they get on? and I think I fractured something. Even though BS is an old coster it will never lose it's charm. It is also as good as the day it was built. Hell most of the shoulder restrains on the corksrewed do not even stay up anymore.
It's time to replace the old girl with a new bigger faster looping coaster.
I enjoy Corkscrew, it's got good air over the hill leading into the loop and great corkscrews over the midway.

I just feel the ride is not in good shape as it once was. I would rather have CP have the best coasters then the most. Would you go to a park because it 20 coasters, or go to a park that had 15 of the very best?
By the way, I got this idea from Disney's (Anaheim) version of Space Mountain. It wouldn't make the ride any longer or more thrilling, but it could make the ride smoother. Maybe it was my imagination, but I thought I saw a small hole or two in the 'footwell' of a few coaches.
Heck, with what Premier's been doing on their mad cobras, why don't they just scrap OTSRs for lap bars? Not an Ohio law, because FOF did it...

Plus the fact that the ride is a landmark in the park.

"Millennium Force, the Future is riding on it."
Now, Cedar Point is "Bulding for the future."
Coincidence?
I believe the corkscrew was the first three inversion coaster, had the first corkscrews on a coaster, and was the second inverted coaster ever. Besides, with hardly any waiting time, how could you not like this coaster. It beats any flat ride, at cp for sure!

Coasters? i thought those were those things you put under drinks? ...am I on the wrong site?
You are correct in stating that Cedar Point's Corkscrew was the first roller coaster to feature three inversions. However, Knott's Corkscrew (relocated to Silverwood) was the first ride to feature the corkscrew element. The second coaster to feature an inversion was Edwin Prescott's Loop-the-Loop installed at Coney Island in 1901.

I say put those in those Phantom's Revenge trains. Those were a definite improvement on that ride, or even something more like the new trains on FOF at PKI.

A question for Gravity. Which would you rather ride if could only ride once MS or corkscrew? even though MS is a bit rough I will bet most would rather see corkscrew go over MS.I just feel the ride is not in good shape as it once was. I would rather see something happen with MS before Corkscrew. Even if the 'screw was removed, not much would go in it's place since Power Tower elbowed it's way in there.
Just because a ride isn't the newest and best anymore doesn't mean that it has lost anything. If anything, it's gained everything when it comes to nostalgia.
CP has an incredible array of coasters. When you're running the park.. then you can do something about it. Until then, don't ride it. "One Less Person..."

Actually, I would much rather ride Corkscrew than Mean Streak. Half the fun on Corkscrew is that it IS rough. You get a feel for the oldness and stuff.
