Time Capsule

I just got back from my yearly trip :), and while leaving Breakers from the Conference center entrance ( http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?a=343 ) I noticed a little sign that says that a time capsule was burried or something, sometime in February, 1995 and is going to be opened sometime in the year 2045. I just had time to get the basic idea but did not read the whole thing.

I just wanted to know what the deal was with the thing, if anyone knows.

Remember that 1995 was the 125th annv. of CP, 2045 will be the 175th annv.

This subject is intriguing me. Just what was placed in that capital investment in 1995?

Anybody think that they will do it again 10 years later?

As a kid who buried his own time capsules (in cigar boxes, no less), I found this information facinating.

Too bad I have forgotton where we buried our time capsules 30 some years ago. I doubt there would be anything left by now, though.

Wow, that is one big time capsule. I burried one underneath where our swimming pool currently is back in 1992 when I was in second grade. I guess I'll dig it up whenever the pool comes down....
