To commemorate the past, present and future of Cedar Point during its milestone 125th anniversary, the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort has sealed the Cedar Point 125 Summers Time Capsule into a structural column of Breakers East, a luxurious new wing of accommodations at the historic Hotel Breakers. Sealed on Friday, May 26, 1995, the time capsule will be opened 50 years later, on May 26, 2045. The time capsule's content not only documents the past and present day Cedar Point, but it will provide future park guests a snapshot of the triumphs and tragedies of life in America during 1994-95. The time capsules diverse holdings range from a children's pop icon -- a Power Ranger -- to the somber, yet compelling details of the criminal trail of football legend O.J. Simpson.
