Tight Squeeze

Looking at the cams I really think the only way to get through that 100' or so wide area between the booths and the stage is going to be body surfing!

Objects on the cam are larger than they appear. That midway looks to be at least 6 vehicle lanes wide at its narrowest point. It'll still be the widest midway in the park.

I assume we are talking about the midway for Luminosity. If so, I truly wonder if this turns out to be a huge show, if the Wildcat's days are numbered and a big bleacher section goes in its place. I just think this area is going to be a zoo this year.

That's the area I'm talking about. One of the many hats I wear at work is taking care of the camera systems, one of those is researching when someone does something stupid. If you look at the cam shot there is a truck sitting near the front of the booth. Figuring the width of that vehicle is around 6 feet, take a measurement of how many of those you could sit side by side in the space between the concrete at the front of the stage behind the port o let and the base of the booth....I'm coming up with about 70 80 feet. Take into consideration the area behind the booth to the concrete wall and you might have 150 feet total....concrete wall behind the booth to the concrete wall of the stage...now throw all the people in the park who will attend the new show in that approximately 150 foot wide section...hope they build in a bypass area.

There is a bypass....its just a little bit longer.

The bypass path will run along the southern edge of the midway, and presumably also utilize the path behind (on the southern side of) Dodgem.

I have a vague recollection of there being a show in that area in the past, so I don't see why there would suddenly be congestion issues.

Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."

Basically it is almost the same space area just sideways. The other show had a bypass area done the length of Iron Dragon side.

They can't NOT have a bypass. To shut down a midway at the end of the night would lead to quite a rush of complaints at guest services.

Personally, I would prefer the crowd surfing method. To bad most of the guest won't want to have to help out with that.

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

crowd surfing would be cool, but realistically, many guests are, well, .....let's just say it probably wont work : /

Knowing how dirty some people are, I'm not sure I'd ever want to crowd surf.

Don't let ANY of the single rider's crowdsurf. And if you see them coming (not hard with their florescent shirts), run far away......:)

The park already stated that there will be a bypass, just like before.

That's just solid advice whether they are crowd surfing or bullrushing people to get back in line.

Why the bad rep for the single riders?!

(I've never been one, but the experiences I've had with them have been generally pretty nice)

Good guess. Unless your first name is Matt.

Single riders and people who brag about being on the first train out of whatever coaster for the year......what's the difference? ;).

Not necessarily. I was on the first train of the year on Dragster last year and rode with a friend of mine. There clear difference is when you advertise your single rider......ness. :)

It can be said that there may be one or 2 that aren't bad. And of course, there's always the chance that one of the bad ones might paint themselves as nice. Dont forget that you might be a nice person to talk to, but act and behave in a very rude way. However, the general reputation of the more well known single riders is very negative. I and many others can attest to many occasions where they were acting very rude and cared very little for personal hygiene.
