Ticket Frustration - online

I am trying to buy a couple of ride and slide passes for my first visit to the park in July.

But the online system wont accept my card, the excuse (?) from cedar point is that it doesn't accept overseas cards....

Anyone else have trouble or just us far away visitors?

If anyone gonna be in the park in 19/20th july I'll be the tourist looking lost and sound funny!!

I bought my combo pass yesterday and I didnt have any problems. Just must be you oversea folk.

You seem to be the caught in the middle.In my industry we have been stung by overseas orders made with stolen credit cards.It takes 4 to 6 weeks for a person to get their credit card statement then they have 30 to 60 days to protest they did not make that purchase.If we have already mailed or shipped the order the credit card company will take back the money leaving the shipper stuck with the loss.You may want to call the park directly they may can work around this problem and you have some time till you travel.This may not be the park that is causing this the credit card vendor that services the parks website maybe refusing overseas cards because of the problems mentioned above.Refused or returned charges cause the cost of processing credit cards to go up for the park (and or the vendor) that will be passed on to all customers someway or another. I do not want you to think I am saying this is everyone overseas fault but a few bad apples can mess things up for everyone.

I find it odd how many people pay full price for tickets still. AAA members and Meijers sell tickets for $5-10 off. It's not hard to find discounts. I'd never pay $45 for a ticket. If you live overseas you probably won't find these discounts, so you are out of luck.

Meijer sells tickets?! The Meijer where I live only sells PKI passes.

Meijer in Michigan sells Cedar Point tickets.
