Ticket and packages help

I have been looking through all the ticket info on CP's site and I am having trouble trying to figure some of this out....I may be dumb here...

First, do you have to be 21 to get a room? It says "to order a room online, you must be 21 years of age or accampanied by an adult of that age" or something similar. This statement confuses me.... I am 18... Can a parent call ahead and just my cousin, my brother, and I use the room, or does the guardian have to be there?

If we could go by ourselves, there would be 3 of us. Would the Package be good or not?

If a parent has to go, we could have a few parents. So we would now have 4-6 people, depending on how many want to go. Would the package be worth it here?

Now I'm sure everyone is thinking I'm an idiot here, but here is the wrench it it all... My cousin and aunt are in the military. So they can get discounts. The big question is is the military discount just on the one day admission? or can they get it on all things? If they could get it on all things, more than likely, this could be cheaper than the packages...

Hopefully, some of you have had similar details when going, so I'm hoping all of you could help a little...

Thanks

Hmm, I pretty sure you have to be 21, I think they check to make sure there is somebody 21 when you check in.

The person who reserves the room must be 21. The person who reserves the room must also be the one who checks in to the room. So, either way, someone over 21 is coming with you.

As for the package deals, they are usually a pretty good bargain. If you have a larger group, they aren't going to cover everyone, but it is still cheaper to get the package deal and buy whatever extra tickets you need than to buy tickets separately from the room.

Don't forget, the resorts have discount tickets available to their guests. I'm not sure how much cheaper than gate this is, but its at least a few bucks off what you would pay at the gate. These can be purchased at the front desk.

Hopefully this helps to answer some of your questions.

Well good thing you said something, JuggaLotus. I had forgotten that there are discount tickets available at the hotels. That obviously saves!

I think the big thing now is the military offers. Are the military offers just good for one day tickets? or can we get them on Ride-and-Slide tickets? and now that you mention the hotel discount purchases, can you get a military discount on top of the already discounted resort tickets?

Thanks so far for straightening out the age problem and tickets problem...

Contact cpresorts@cedarpoint.com for info regarding the discounts. They should be able to help.

I believe you can either get one discount or the other but not both. You might want to consider taking what the Hotel Breakers has to offer cause from what I assume it is a better discount then the military. I decided to buy season passes cause that is definitly the best deal of them all.(Especially if you are going to the park for a few days)

Yea, I will probably email them...good idea... thanks all.

Any other info or advice?

Yeah... make sure to have fun! ;)

The military tickets are pretty cheap. I remember a few years ago that my friend only paid 25$ for a one day ticket. I believe the price has gone up slightly since then, if they still offer it at all. So it depends which way is cheaper for you. Also if you don't have anyone 21 going with you and you still want to spend the night somewhere in Sandusky. Either check at non-CP hotels (very rare to let under 21 peeps check a room out). Or go camping at bayshore which is pretty much right next door to CP. Downfall here though is you have to pay for parking everyday, although many places have a shuttle that is pretty cheap, and no discounted tickets unless you have seperate coupon.

So does anyone know about what the military discount are offered on? Just one day admission? or can they be used on other things (ride & slide, hotel, etc.)?

Sorry to keep asking; I emailed CP but I haven't received a reply and its been since Monday. Well, I found out my email is messed up, but still...lol

Military discount is on a one-day admission only. They don't have a military discount for ride and slide, packages, starlight, etc. Also, the person with military ID and his or her spouse (have to show proof of marriage) are the only ones who can receive the discount, not the whole group.

The military discount for a one day CP ticket is $33.

The resort discount is $33 for a one day CP ticket or $63 for the 2 day Ride & Slide ticket.
