Thunder Canyon Labor Day Weekend?

Since Shoot the Rapids is still closed, any chance they will still have Thunder Canyon open Labor Day weekend? We always go on Saturday, which is still in August this year.

We go on water rides as part of a tradition, it would be a shame if STR will be closed. Any ideas?

I thought Thunder Canyon was open through Labor Day then it shut down for Cornstalkers. With as cool as the weather has been this summer, who would want to ride it anyway.

This is the worst summer I can remember, and I'm not a teenybopper, I've been around a while. Longer than corkscrew!

In the past, Thunder Canyon has been closed Labor Day weekend if I remember correctly.

It's always closed when I go too.. Perhaps I should go in June instead of May.

@MaverickLaunch, apparently you don't remember 2009. I don't live too far from the Point but I know their weather was worse than ours. We had a way below average summer. I don't even remember if we ever reached 90 but I remember a lot of 60s and 70s.

Here hasn't been so bad this summer up until recently. We had a stretch of 90s and 100s last month.

So, does the Canyon still have water in it? :)

It was closed today. It said they are preparing for Cornstalkers.

It has already closed for the season.

False, the whole park becomes a water ride during rainstorms :)

That isn't a bad idea! I have never been in the Jumping Fountain before!
