Through Other Rides...

I think Cedar Point should take a few years and design a 500 - 600 ft. coaster that would travel throughout the entire park with track going through all the other rides.....that would solve the problem of finding space for it. They have done this at a few other parks when they ran out of room.

I think for what's next, they should make the train invert right before the drop and have up drop down upside down...

That would be one hell of an expensive eyesore.

it won't ever happen man.

i say if anyone builds a 500 footer.. it should be similar to superman: the escape except with flying coaster trains That way you get launched out on your back and then when you run up the tower, you look over the entire park. It would be similar to a S&S space shot and would definitely rule in every respect.

I can't think of any other design that would be worth building 500 feet up.. keeping $$$ in mind of course.

Well, if they did build a 500' coaster I would doubt the lines would be long at all. I don't think the GP is ready for that yet. And yes, money is an issue too.

We enthusiasts are just never satisfied, are we? Whenever we see a 500 footer at CP, I can assure you it will be very compact like TTD or WT, unless they expand it into the parking lot. I don't think they really want something that would interfeare with the entire park.

Honestly, I'm still surprised to see 400 feet this soon. Think about it, it took 11 years to get from 100 to 200 feet, and 11 more form 200 to 300. Although I am happy about not having to wait untill 2011 to ride TTD.

MilleniumForce, watch what you say. I am pretty sure the lines would be very long for a coaster that large. I know I'd be flocking to it...
Ralph, it took like sixty some years to get from 100 to 200 ft.

I think someday there will be a 500 footer at CP. Like around the year 2070....which is when I predict that Millie will be dismantled, along with a couple of other coasters(some before 2070)! Then they will have enough room to put a 500 footer in.
