Things to do in Sandusky/Huron at night

Mr. Magnum and I finally have our long awaited overnight trip to the point this Friday/Saturday, where I will ring in the new year riding coasters!

Anyway, does anyone have any good ideas of where to go to have some fun Friday night in either Sandusky or Huron (where we are staying) after the park closes? Also, as I am unemployed, any place cheap would be the best!

Thanks ahead of time for the suggestions,

Sam

Not that much to choose from Sam. About the only thing I can suggest is one of the downtown Sandusky bars. Cabana Jack's or Joe's (Cabana something, can't remember) has some pretty good entertainment. It's right on Columbus Ave., close to the water front. Dailey's Pub is also in the vicinity.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

What this entire North Central ohio area needs is a Dance club, bowling alley, Bar, Restuarant all in one big building. And non-smoking would be great too. Because of no night life there are alot of sh#T towns around, or that's what I like to call them. My town included. Yeah so by reading that, there is not too much.

Yeah...Hooper's right. He's from Norwalk and I"m from Milan (they're next to each other) and there is no night-life whatsoever. Aside from the bowling alley at Rt 6 and the Causeway, or Riverview Lanes in Huron, I can't think of a fun thing to do on a friday night. Maybe some of the local corn mazes will be open. I think I'm going to have a bonfire and drink beer with my friends, but that's not open to the public...

Get a life. There is nothing wrong with this topic. There's actually some serious talk in it that some of us find relevent and informative.

You've been saving that account for almost a year and a half for that? How many accounts do you have?

Hey, I'm just trying to help the Mods. If we let this continue we could have Non-Cedar Point topics all over the place...it would be Chaos. This is not a community, so please don't get attached to the opinions of those on this board. If you want an opinion from Gemini about the Sandusky nightlife, this isn't the place.

Sam...try funcoast.com...end of discussion.

Go to Margaritaville! It's near the Toft's ice cream factory. They have the best flaming fajitas. It has a good atmosphere and is decently priced. Plus there's a waterfall next to the window in the dining room and bands on certain nights during the week on the patio bar. I love it!

Oh Jeff, couldn't you see I was being facetious? My point is that if your going to close threads for being off-topic, it would be hypocritical to let one slide.

I admit, I enjoy reading a Forum that's not filled with mindless, best... favorite... top 10... worst... versus... most... threads. But, on the same note, I feel this is a community, whose members' opinions I respect. When something happens at Disney Land, I don't want to hear the opinions from Coasterbuzz members, I want to know how GTTP'ers feel.

Sure, I could of just requested an off-topic section, but coming from someone who believes this is an unnecessarily over-moderated board(closing threads, when they would die out on their own; Bashing newbies because they go to GUIDEtothepoint.com to ask how busy it will be), that would not have gotten my point across.

I have had bad experiences at Margaritaville, but maybe it was a fluke. I've been there 3 times and none of those times impressed me. The waterfall is nice, and the bar on the deck outside is fun and buffety, but I'd pass on the food. It's been mediocre at best each time i've been there. I would reccomend tofts however if you have a sweet tooth. The ice cream is made right there in the factory, and it is fantastic!

Don't worry.. I'm just a lurker who loves Cedar Point, and I will continue to read these forums for the info and to get my CP fix. I can see you are closed to any suggestions about these forums, so please continue with the original topic of discussion....

Yeah... I'm closed to suggestions. That's what it is. It couldn't have anything to do with you over-stepping your bounds or trying to dictate a well-established and long-standing editorial policy here.

Move along...
