The Yellow Train

When will they put it back on. It was on the transfer track today and nothing occured to me that whould keep it off the circit, but then again i could ahve missed something. the cappasity without the third train is horrible so they need to get that train back on by peek season or we will be looking at two and a half hour lines and i know no body whants that.

Millenium Force - this much fun has to be illegal

I was at the park today (5/18) waiting in line for Millennium Force from about 10:00 to almost 12:00.  All three trains were on the track and were running.  Their was apparently an

Sorry, the rest of the post didn't print for some reason.

There was apparently an "electrical" problem with the ride and the yellow train did not come back to the unload station, but stayed in the other braking system. Meanwhile, the red train was stuck at the top from about 11:30 til about 12:00 when they finally manually moved the yellow car so that the computer would let the red train complete the ride and return to the station. Once the ride finally reopened sometime around 1:30 or 2:00, only red and blue working for the rest of the day.

ahhhh yeah I was up there one time... Scary stuff :)

Ha, it's just like Joe E. predicted - even when the yellow train is ready to run, the computer screws up three train operation...

So actually it's not a problem with the Yellow Train itself, but a problem with the computer in 3-train operation?

Thats what it sounds like too me, the breaks don't just lock up when you put 3 cars on. I think(don't know) its the computers.

Joe, the question is, is it still running slow?

On Saturday, in the afternoon when only red and blue were running, one of the ride ops said that the blue was running at 93 mph and the red train was at 96 mph. Don't know how accurate this was, but this is what I overheard him say.

Scary that someone who operates the ride would say that.

I will give him this, the red train is coming in a bit faster than the rest, doesn't mean it's going 3 MPH faster at the bottom though.

Majin, I still think it's running a tad slow.

Today (Sunday), They ran all three all day with no problems, at least none that I saw. It did open late, but ran fine the rest of the day. I do believe red was running the fastest followed by yellow, and then blue. Still no nylon wheels, so we'll keep waiting.

I rode in yellow which ran better than my rides in red or blue before (did not get in red recently). This surprised me because it hasn't really been used that much yet. Whoever put it together did a good job! :)

As I noticed before, the one day they were cycling red and blue, blue needed people, red didn't. I timed blue today (only train I did time) at 65 seconds. Yellow felt about that or in front.

Also it was cold today and I think Thursday it would have ran better like people said. I will just have to wait and see.

It's almost a bit silly to judge MF's performance based on the past three weeks. It's been unseasonably cold for the North Coast recently. Intamin hypers have a reputation for not running the best in cold weather, especially without the solid white wheels. It's supposed to be warmer this week. I would bet that MF will be back up to it's normal performance then.

Yeah i hope so to they need all three on the ride by peak season or we will be looking at three hour waits and i know noone wants that.

It was down to 2 today again :(. There was a sign that said MF would open late. Anyone who was there early know what went down? I got to CP about 5 today.
It was probly to cold! It has been outright COLD the past few days. But thank god it wil be back up to 70's tomorrow! :)

It was running 3 trains late yesterday. Red was off for some work when I got there around 5pm.

My ride yesterday was faster but it still felt like it had the shakes, almost like a bad wheel. Not rough, just weird.

All three trains ran on 5/21 and 5/22. It appears that whatever blocking issues there were are resolved. Things seem to be working their way back to normal.
