The Western Boot
Hey, I was at Cedar Point yesterday and I noticed you could buy a $8 boot and refill it as many times as you like for free. I think I refilled it with pepsi about 7 times thru-out the day. I think thats the best deal CP has ever offered for drinks... I also noticed how nobody else was walking around with one, you think everybody would be jumping on that? Another thing I wonder about is why is Cedar Point giving free refills now, you think they are just trying to get rid of those boots they have? (like they weren't selling at all before)
There is also a wicked twister bottle thing you can get too. Not many shops have it but the ice cream place by Mean Streak does. I should have bought one too since i spent about $30 on pop in two days over the past weekend.
You can refill it with pop for free, but if they see you go into a restroom with one it'll cost you $4.50... ;-)

What don't you understand? You buy a cup shaped as a boot. And they let you have free refills forever.
When we were there in June, we wanted to get a boot as many places throughout the park were advertising them. The main problem was every single place was "sold out". The second problem was I saw 2 people in three days with the boot cup but in that three days was never able to purchase one due to the "high demand". Seemed a little odd.
The only thing even slightly negative about my 3 days at CP this year was the boot thing.
You can buy the wicked twister cup in many gift shops. It's the same price. Than just go up to the pop stand and get it filled!
I don't drink pop myself, but this refill thing is a great way for a family to enjoy pop all day (or all season for that matter) without spending too much... just pass the cup around, or get water cups and distribute the pop!

Maybe the people had bought a boot earlier in the season and they keep bringing it back for the refills.
I have the boot. It is great, but there's only a few places that sell them. I've noticed most of those are in the back of the park in the Gemini/MS area.
