I think I saw the three trailer trucks that had the peices of the new rock climbing wall that is going in. IT will be in the Dodgem II, Paddlewheel Excursion entrance area. If you go over there you can see spray paint markings for the entrance and exit.

...Across from what was Gemini Gifts and behind a new 36" high fence, perhaps?
(refer to the "expansion mystery" thread)

That seems to be an odd place to put a rock-climbing wall, in my opinion...
I take it will be a portable?

It does seem like strange placement. I would have guessed that would be a spot for another small Camp Snoopy ride or two.
I was there on both Monday and Tuesday. On Monday I noticed nothing in that area, Tuesday the entire rock was constructed and finishing touches were beginning. The rock isn't anything special, and looked similar to the one at SFO. It does not appear to be portable. It looks like it could open as early as this weekend if not earlier. Amazing what one night does. :)

I find it odd it is not in Challenge park. Could this mean that it does not have a seperate fee?

Hey, I was right about the location of the Wall! :)
I think Magnum Is Sinking is right. Rock climbing is a Challenge Park thing. The area by Camp Snoopy is probably for something else. BTW- Does anyone know when the rock climbing will be open to the GP. This year or next?

"Magnum + Prozac= Millennium Force
That was my point Vince! It would have made more sense to put it in Challenge Park. But from what MFDave posted above it is already nearing completion and will most likely be open for the holiday weekend.

Yeah, they had 3 guys on the wall Tuesday finishing up with painting, I don't know what else there would be left to do after that. It's got to have a seperate fee though. If anyone has seen SFO's, its the same thing, except slightly smaller. The front of the wall it pointed towards the Gemini. I didn't get a great look at the other side, but it looks like they could use both sides of it.

People were climbing on it last night when I was there. $6.00 a crack
$6???
That's actually a little bit cheap! PKI is either $7 or $8 for theirs!
But then, parking is cheaper at CP as well...so are bottled drinks. And $6 is still more expensive than the three retailers in Columbus who have climbing walls available for their customers ($0)...

They should have put it by Tenderfoot Pass and made it look like your climbing the walls of the Force. :)
Seriously, is it a 360 deg. climbing wall?
-------------
Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
Yes it is, about 25-30 feet tall
360 degree? Wouldn't that be like a circle? :) It's 90 degrees.

I think it is cool, BTW, maybe they should have Ticket to Climb, because the line was outside of the queue line and no one was riding any of the rides in the park!!! *lol*

The Ticket to Ride for Millennium Force is a solution to a problem that NEVER existed.
Is this free w/ admission or added?

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?" (as stated by my best-friends about CP)
As stated above, it is 6 bucks to climb...
