The two only possibilities for this coaster...

I've narrowed it down to two different possible layouts.

The one everyone knows about is the L:TH:B layout. The recent supports show that if this layout is true (which is probably the case), the twist going up would be 90 degrees and going down the other side would twist 270 degrees in the opposite direction....

Someone posted this theory and I must say that they at least put some thought into it (unlike many others)....

They suggested that the new coaster would shoot up and pull a 90 degree twist into a top hat. This tophat would lead you into a very steep 400 + foot straight drop onto MF Island (this would be exactly like going down MF except it would be 100+ feet taller and your starting speed would be at least 20 mph!!!). It would then do any number of things on the island, and since we cannot see work being done there we have no clue of knowing. After the island, it returns the same way it came, and then pules a 90 degree twist straight down on the second side of the original tower into the final break run.

I've heard stories about land clearing on the island but also heard replies saying that the island has looked like that since the construction of MF. The fact that there is no actual supports on the island could be because MF was still running until 4 days ago... or because there are going to be NO supports. This theory could also explain that missing break run piece, but they will have to bring in equiptment to un-dam the lagoon eventually, so that could also explain the missing track. So in the end, like my past 3 sentences state, it can really go either way.

One other note.. I think there is WAY TOO LITTLE TRACK for this layout idea.

People still seem to try and find someway to convince themselves its not a L:TH:B layout, so this theory is at least possible.. but in my opinion... not likely.

I for one still lean towards the L:TH:B layout.. and I'm DAMN EXCITED.

i am leaning more towards the l-th-b also. but that is because that is what i am seeing now. i am having a real hard time picturing a 270 degree twist straight down. it would almost have to have alot of curve with the twist in my opinion for this ride not to be painful. and with the angle of the support sticking out on the left side of the tower, that last hill wouldnt be as tall as the initial launch hill.
I can shoot that whole "going down the other side of the tower" idea to hell...

Where are the support connections on the tower to hold the track that will go down the other side? Oh.. there are none? I thought so.

That, and there simply isn't enough track.

This has been mentioned in other threads, but that gap in the break-run is there simply so machinery can easily get to both sides of the track - you wouldn't want to "build yourself into a corner"...

how can u be so sure that there is not enough track i'm sure there is more track to come to the park

Face it, people... For those of you who are still in denial of a L-TH-B, that's all it will be. There is a surprise to be shown in later construction of what the down side will end up doing, but it is a L-TH-B... give up on any other possibilities.
a wonder how many of the people still in denial belived Mr Clinton aka Slick Wllie when he said "I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL REALTIONSHIP WITH MONICA"
yeah, i hate to say this about Cp because they are totally awesome, but i think they just want the records, and for a cheap price, small area and a crap load of hype (everything they ever wanted in a coaster) they can do it with "dragster". Heck yeah a short ride'll be kinda dumb, but expect to see more "short" rides from Cp. I.E.--wicked twister
although im still totally psyched about a 400ft drop man!

Anyways, I still don't think it is safe to make judgements yet. It is still early in the offseason, and now consturction will really start to speed up. Especially on the tower.

Either way, we're in for one hell of a rush! Try to imagine sitting in the front seat, and looking down at the ground rushing at you from a 90 degree angle... or going from 0-180/200kmph(110/120mph)!!!

This is going to be insane! I'm totally there opening day!

The only bad thing about being an enthusiast is that with all of the information we are trying to dig up from this, it doesn't come as much of a surprise. See, I joined CoasterBuzz in May, which was after Wicked Twister opened. Now I found out about Wicked Twister in November from the Cedar Point website, and I was thrilled to death! Now I wasn't even there late in the season to see the land gutted out and the beginning of construction, and it was much more of a surprise to me when I got @ 7:30am on opening day to see it, and being one of the first people to ride it. That's all I have to say.

I love Wicked Twister,
and Raptor too.

When the sun comes up tomorrow, take a look at the power tower cam. In the lower left hand corner there are 3 footers increasing in size, compared to the brake run footers that are just before the three. This in most regards would constitute as a height increase.

When I see a definite footer path that circles back around to where a presumptive station will be located, I will belive the L-TH-B theory, but untill then...

Crash you still think there will be something else after the brake run?....well hate to burst your bubble, but those footers are either just being poured or been pouer but not fully covered up...if you notice all those footers are wider under ground. Those are probably still the base footers.

Big D's right...there were footers earlier in the week that appeared to be 'shrinking.' They were just covering them with dirt, though.
