The "tree" is, in drag racing terms, the lights that count down before dragsters take off. I didn't see it, but I'm assuming the lights they are talking about are the ones on the tower.

Taking a look at the latest pictures and the web cam, I don't even see the lights installed on the tower yet. But then again I may be wrong.

I don't think either the dragster tree at the starting line or the lights on the tower have been put up, and if you are talking about the banner on the top of their web page there is already a topic about it here:

It was on the banner, i dont think the real lights are going to be on the tower like that, if you look at the POV picture on the top thrill dgragster website, the"christmas tree" will be next to the launch track.

Besides, CP wouldn't put lights on the banner animation if they weren't on the actual ride.

the actual tower was lit last night they ran through the lights for a few seconds.. by the time the cam refreshed they was already off.. it was cool either way

The lights have not yet been installed on the tower. Also the webcam was down all day yesterday.

I believe what hearsecruizer may have been referring to were some regular white lights that momentarilly lit up the tower one night.

To get back on topic, what do you think of this new monster? I can't believe opening day is less than Two Months Off (Underworld)! After seeing that Badnitrus animation, my anticipation is at a fever pitch! If DRQ is giving away any Cedar Point passes close to opening day, you can bet I'll be calling in for 'em!

I don't know if DRQ will be giving any passes away, but I'd bet they will be since they do it every year. Probably a remote broadcast too.
