The Space Spiral's Height???

on CedarPoint.com, it says Space Spiral is 330 ft. high, but when your driving up the causeway you can't see Space Spiral as well Millennium Force and Powertower. And when you are up close it doesn't look 330 ft. tall. Is it just me? Am I going crazy?

-------------
Gravity knows no force like Millennium Force!
That's cause the amount of steel you see at 330 ft high is nothing compared to Power Tower and especially MF. It's probably only a 10 ft diameter steel tube at 330 ft, doesn't stick out or occupy NEARLY as much space. It's one of those optical illusions where you THINK one's taller just because it occupies more space in the skyline. Remember the whole discussion on how SOME people thought Magnum was taller than the Force. Reason-The lift doesn't occupy as much space. With a 45 degree lift and 80 degree drop, the length of the lift structure (on ground level) is immensely shorter than Magnum's creating the image that Magnum is taller. You just have to think more logically than your brain will normally let you.
When they say 330 they count the light on the very top

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point.
That makes me think wouldn't it be considered the tallest ride structure??? Since it only goes up to 280 ft in the cabin??????? Just a thought????

Yes, I read somewhere there the tallest structures on the peninsula are now MF, PT, and SS.

Actually the height of the Space Spiral tower is 330 foot but that also includes the foundation that goes 30 feet below ground and the other 15 feet at the top of the tower.

Give it a couple weeks.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

I've never understood why people say coasters can't go underground because of the high water table, and yet Space Spiral goes 30 feet underground.

A concrete foundation and an open tunnel are two different things.

I really doubt Space Spirals height includes the foundation, what's below ground can't be counted as height above ground. Let's be a little logical here.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

^took the words right out of my mouth

So I'm guessing the new 1WTC isn't really 1776' tall, since structure height includes below grade levels. The world we live in today.....

That might be easier said than done. :)
