The people

Why does it matter what you drive while in high school. In fact, you have less input in that because you don't usually have the necessary funds to purchase the car of your choice. So it really reflects how much money you have, rather than the type of person you are.

Go Ravens and Lakers, don't worry, we'll bounce back.

X at SFMM is frickin awesome, it's a must ride for all coaster fans.

As a person who has gone to PKI more than CP in his life, although that's rapidly changing, there are good and bad days. If you went on a day where there are more people, you run into the chance that there are going to be more jerks in the park. I've been to PKI where I haven't had to deal with a single smoker or whining child and other days where it seems like those kinds of people just follow me around. It's just luck of the draw.

CP does seem to have more rules against smoking, which I really appreciate them for. The rides I usually ride are also the ones that little kids don't seem to like, like Raptor and even Magnum, there aren't as many kids in that line as there is in the line for the Beast. I've only seen one instance of line jumping at each park.

All the times I've been to PKI there was only one time when there were line Jumpers. Me and my dad were waiting for Delirium, the rid e broke down and this group of black girls were like in the sec. turnstly row and they jumped to the front were ther bubbes were.
Half of them were getting a open spot one group behined me. While all of this was happeing all the ride ops there looking at the ride while it was being tested. Nobody noticed (ride op) there was line jumping and people were getting upset. To add to that it was some what hot night. Therow all that there was pleniane of cursing and all that.

Your post about your NJ experience had me rolling. I don't think ANY CPer, PKIer has experienced TRUE rudeness until they have shared a queue line with a NJer or NYer for that matter.

For the most part MOST of them are tolerable, but the most of them are loud, obnoxious, demanding, know it alls and cursing is just a part of their normal vocabulary. If someone here takes offense to that then too bad. I am a NYC transplant, and those aforementioned attitudes are just some of the reasons I booked out of that state as soon as I legally could.

Any time I go back to SFGrtA, Coney Island or even Dorney I am reminded of how glad I am to beable to call Ohio my home. "F" is their word of choice in conversations, and even when riding the rides. That irritates me more than anything. especially when there are young kids around :(
Some of the people in those parks smoke on line like it is totally acceptable. The only exception I can think of is SFGrtA, they have park police on queue line patrol, sitting in life guard chairs watching the queue on some rides. Seems a tad extreme, and there were STILL people smoking anyway :(

As for CP, I've shared the line with some REAL winners too over the years. It could take me months to share all the experiences, and I am sure that are FAR from over yet!!
If a ride op catches a smoker they are supposed to tell them to stop, I know I would. I have even gone to the extreme, I've been on crowd control and noticed someone smoking in the queue. I go out of my way to watch them and remember what they look like. When they get up to the turnstyle I would simply tell them "btw, the next time you're in line please remember there is no smoking" That would freak them out cause it could have been 5 minutes ago or an hour ago. They just look at me and say "sorry" like they didn't know there wasn't smoking in line.

Line jumpers (if caught) are taken off the line. If you catch a line jumper, tell the 1st op you come to and they should remove them off the line.

People are selfish idiots at times and unfortunitely some think the entire world revolves around them. You listen and watch these people and wonder in 10 years if they will look back on themselves and feel badly they acted so stupid.
Probably not :(

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

The people at pki are like that because there are more people from Kentucky.
I just hate it when i'm in line. MF for example. There is a big sign right by the entrance that says no smoking permited in the line, but as soon as some people pass the height checker person they light up a ciggarates Last time i was there two guys both took out cigars and started to smoke them. Ciggarates are on thing, but cigars. It was horrible.
I've had a incidence of line jumpers at Cedar Point. A man was in front me and a friend of mine as we were getting in line for Magnum. The man was one thing but then his family that was with the park started jumping the line bars and pushing past people waiting to meet up with the rest of the family. My friend and I tried to stand in front of the line jumping family members but they pushed us both out of the way. Then, the dad decided to get his kid. He jumped out of line, by way of the side of the queue, and then dragged this screaming child back into line by jumping over the bar line. We mentioned something to the freeway person and they were ejected from the line.

As for smokers, I just ask the smokers if they would mind putting out their cigarettes. If they give me any problems, I mention that it is subject for ejection to smoke in line.
