The only really thrilling ride?

I just got back from my 2 day excursion at the Point. Luckily I got on Dragster twice. It is AMAZING, that launch is the best part of the ride. None of the other coasters were that thrilling, I mean they were fun but not that scary or didn't offer an Adrenaline rush.

Is TTD one of the only rides that is really thrilling, or do all the coasters thrill you? Or is all the coasters fun but not thrilling?

Just wondering

Every single roller coaster that I've ridden thrilled me the first time I rode them. Second time, maybe. But afterwards, it was A okay.
There are no rides that are as thrilling as dragster
Well, i was at cp twice this year and dragster was closed both times. All i know is, Millie just keeps gettin better every time i ride it. So does magnum and wicked twister. And oh ya... Gemeni and blue streak give awsome rides as well. Raptor is sweet. Need I go on? My little theory is that once sum 1 has been on dragster, the other rides dont compare, because they probably dont! So, actually I'm kinda glad in a way I havent ridden it yet, because all the rides still rock to me. I've talked to so many people about dragster in random IM's and they all say the same thing.Don't get me wrong though, i'm still craving a ride on ttd so bad. I might be goin back in the fall, then everything i just said will change.
cpkungfu, I agree with you but I find most of CP's rides fun, but even before I rode Dragster, Millennium Force was "just for fun", not for the "complete ride of your life". Sorta like at DL, I've come to love the other coasters as much as Superman but Superman is still the best.
There is no rival to the rush TTD provides, but I bet if you get up nice and early and head on over to MF those 300 feet will do you pretty good too.

Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription... is more cowbell!

I'm not about to say that dragster isnt thrilling, because it is one of the most thrilling rides in the park, but I still am thrilled on many other rides, and TTD hasnt taken that away. For example, MF, is just always a plain thrill, WT in the front car thrills me, Raptor, right around the cobra roll still thrills me, Gemini's numerous head choppers still thrill me, and i love that first drop, Maggies pretzel turnaround and bunnyhops thrill me, and also one of the most thrilling rides in the park for me still would have to be PT down, it is always a rush. So, at least for me, TTD has not taken away the thrill of any of the other rides in the park.

Also, if you feel that TTD has taken away thrill, just go on back to challenge park and ride Ripcord... that is a thrill that I will never forget!

Millennium Force is #1 for me! It has a sustained speed throughout the ride and is longer then 17 seconds. Don't get me wrong TTD is a great adrenaline rush, but MF is a great ride.

All of CP's coasters thrill me! :)
I say this with no experience of Top Thrill Dragster. Since the tallest roller coaster I have ridden so far is Millennium Force, no matter how many times I ride it, it thrills me. The same goes for any roller coaster, from Millennium Force to the Blue Streak or Disaster Transport, each ride is different in its own..I respect, and enjoy it.

Having rode TTD I would have to say that it is quite an adreniline rush and a great thrill but every time I ride the MF in the front I always get so scared and its a great ride I could ride it over and over. I can say the same with the TTD as well. MF is great for a lengthy thrill but TTD is great for a morning pick-me-up. In my opinion better then coffee.

I loved TTD in my 1 ride. I'm not taking anything away from it but i honestly found millie more thrilling. TTD almost seems to fast of a ride time to feel what is actually going on. Again, I still love TTD.

I find many of the rides at CP to be thrilling, coaster and non-coaster. Power Tower, MF, Wicked Twister, Magnum, Raptor, and yes, Dragster.

Obviously, Dragster is the most thrilling ride at the park but all of the other coasters deal out their bit of thrill as well. Raptor is a classic example. It's still one of the best (if not the best) Inverted Coaster in the world. Although the recent vote saw different, Millennium Force is more thrilling than any ride (other than Dragster). You get your share of thrills at CP...even when you have been to the park as much as I.

TTD is too short to make that claim. I would rather take a ride on HW's Legend or Hersheyparks Lighting Racer.

Don't get me wrong, TTD is thrilling, but more thrilling than all other rides? No.

I think i have become comfortly numb from TTD. Ever since i have ridden TTD (6 total) all the rides even TTD seem just fun and not thrilling at all. MFer is great yeah speed, and height great but not thrilling after riding TTD, but that is me, but i still love riding all the coasters and they haven't loast any fun factor! I think TTD just blows past any kind of rush you can find on a coaster.

Well, I believe that thrillwise, meaning biggest adrenaline rush, TTD is the most thrilling coaster. Heck ive been on it 11 times and i am still a little bit freaked out every time we pull up to that christmas tree. However that doesent take away from the fact that CP has other spectacular rides. Millies just super fast and keeps that sustained speed that makes you "woo hoo" the entire way through. Raptor has that incredible flying feeling as you swing out at the top of the lift hill (my favorite part). And even an old classic like Blue Streak has that incredible airtime that you really cant match anywhere else in the park. Lets just face it Cedar Point is one of the greatest amusement parks in the world. I went to Worlds of Fun in Missouri and the pop machines there are like the ones at CP with Millie, Raptor, Corkscrew, and maggie pictured on them! Not to mention that their Coasters has large photographs of CP coasters and nothing else.

i went on a ride a few days ago that was more thrilling than anything will ever be at cedar point.

it was 12600 feet high, had no tracks, and moved at the top speed of around 150 mph for nearly a minute, and then while only at around 30 mph for 5 minutes, pulled around 4-5 g's sustained for around 5 seconds per maneuver.

it was a hell of a thing :D
