I think we can just assume that he, and anyone else who is turned off by the idea of "just a tophat" hasn't ridden Xcelerator yet. Sure you can assume all you want about what the tophat is like, but there really isn't much out there to compare it to. It's mind boggling how amazing the sensation is, twisting, going up and over it, and twisting again; anyone who's gotten that sensation will know that a 400ft tophat will be out of this world. Believe me, it'll be enough... And chances are it'll be the single most exciting element ever devised.

I do find it hard to believe that this conversation is even neccesary... Come on, how can you honestly complain about a 400ft coaster of any length? Would you rather they had not built anything this year? What people need to realize is that CP doesn't owe anything to anyone. If they ever decide to build us a new and exciting coaster (which they happen to do alot), no matter what the specs are, we should feel lucky.

I'd Rather Be Riding Roller Coasters

I would be just as happy if they didn't build one (which I am gald they are) because if you live far away from like i do and the nearest park for me is SFDL which only has 5 coasters (and 2 decent ones) while CP has 15 amazing coasters, I am pretty much satisfied with anything new and exciting.

i think it's pretty rediculous that anybody would be dissapointed with the tallest thrill ride ever, especially since this will be the second major ride in two years(even though WT isn't the greatest). i guess some people are never happy...

I was looking through my desk drawer and considering names of other record breaking coasters at Cedar Point (specifically Magnum XL-200 and Mean Streak) and I think I have figured it out...

The new ride will be called...

i think the web cam gives the name away

"sun fire" or "sun burst"

I think a patriotic name would be cool! Like, "The Patriot"

But their is no blue in the coaster...that sucks!!! It should be red, white, and blue! Not yellow.

they already have corkscrew as their patriotic ride.

it would be stupid to have two patriotic rides right next to each other.

Speed, The Ride. Maybe Cp had that name picked out before the Vegas coaster. Instead of changing it, they just added " the ride." Or Maybe not.
