The Mantis Paint Job

While sitting at crowd pondering different Cedar Point odities I started to think about Mantis and its new paint job. Then I remembered that Mantis was painted onsite in the parking lot. I have never before heard of B&M track being painted onsite before, or any track for that matter. So I was thinking since most of the track was fabricated assuming the name of the ride was going to be Banshee, did the park plan on having the track a different color, and then when they changed the name of the ride did they choose to change the track color as well and paint it onsite?

I would suspect that the painting in the parking lot would have a lot to do with the lifespan of the paint job. I don;t know about the different color, though. Any logos I've seen have the exact same colors that Mantis has.

All Banshee stuff I have seen have had the same colors. Maybe they were just rushed on the job.

The original announcement for Banshee mentioned that the ride would have a yellow and red color scheme with an electric blue framework.

ok thats what I thought, somewhere I heard that for Banshee they were going to use black track and silver supports and they were going to use black lights at night.

they should have done a cool black paint job and called it Banshee. i know that it was a dictionary definition that changed all of this, but...
