The Lost Wallet That Was Found

Lying out on the ground was, a wallet filled with cash. I picked it up, and I wondered what I could buy with the money I looked inside the wallet for some I some ID. And information on the person who lost their wallet. I decided to ask my family to phone that person up. I wrote down his name and address. And my GPS took me to that address. When I knocked on the door, answer when he saw his wallet he felt happy to get it back. And I felt helpers high, meaning the I felt good about helping somebody out by retuning there wallet. This good act makes me feel like I have integrity.

What does this have to do with Cedar Point? Did you find it at the park? If so, kudos on going the extra mile to help someone else.

I'm surprised that spambots can feel integrity. Is that the 4th law?

You shouldn't be embarrassed about knowing the 3 laws by heart.

To bring this post a little toward Cedar Point. Last fall when working at the park I lost my wallet, probably $200 cash, credit cards, debit cards, my drivers licenses, SS card. I thought it was gone forever. I went to the CP lost and found thinking I would never see it again. and there it was sitting on the desk. I expected all my cash to be gone at very least, every dollar was in there. imagine my shock and relief. I'm glad there are still honest and good people out there.

I'm not embarrassed that I know the three laws, I'm ashamed I fell for a spambot...especially considering I am personally approximately 20% spam by weight myself. ;)

A few years ago I was watching a show at the Red Garter Saloon. I had ordered a mean plate of Macho Nacho's and an Ice Cold Beer. I whipped my wallet out of my back pocket and paid when I was served.

I got side tracked by the show and instead of putting my wallet back in my pocket, I set it on the bench. (I was sitting on the benches along the wall near the restrooms).

Low and behold, after the show was done, we all got up to leave. I wasn't even at the exit to the Saloon when I realized what I had done. I speed walked back to the bench and dog gone it! It was gone already!

My day is ruined! My face was turning red. My blood pressure surely was rising to a boiling point. I was becoming a bit disoriented. So mad, confused on how I could be so stupid. Mad that someone swiped my wallet that fast.

So I am looking on the floor, under the table, everywhere on the bench. Nothing.

My last effort went to approaching a waitress and asking if anyone turned in a wallet.

She asked if I was sitting on the bench near the restroom.

"Yes! I was!!" I said excitedly.

"I found a wallet on the bench and gave it to a Cedar Point Police Officer. You can pick it up at Lost & Found, near the front of the park." said the day saving, blood pressure lowering, Saloon waitress.

I walked as fast as my legs would let me, and walked into the Lost & Found. I told the kind gentleman behind the desk that I had just lost a wallet at the Red Garter Saloon.

He then began a series of questions, quizing me on my name, address, date of birth, how much cash was in the wallet, what other items (ex: credit cards) would be found in this said wallet.

After answering all the questions correctly, he handed me:

'The Lost Wallet That Was Found."

As a sweep I have found a lot of neat things. But all the sweeps that I have met are really good about bringing stuff to the lost and found.
