I am surprised no one brought this up (right?). What will the lighting be. If it has no, to little lighting then it will be the best night ride. It has not lights anywhere near it! I could see them puting in those stupid spot lights. It might look good but I would like no lights much better.

Hopefully the ride will have the same lighting as Superman Ride of Steel over at Darien with the giant flood lights pointed towrd the sky, similar to MS. IF you rode S:ROS at night you would understand how awesome that lighting when you are going down that first drop. When do we get that POV Jeff.

I'm hoping for no lights at all, anywhere.

Maybe if the get giant flood lights they could change the colors just like on Power Tower.

Maybe later today, Dan! The DV card is in place... but there are a lot of tweaks I need to do here!

I wouldn't mind lights on the lift hill I guess, but the rest of the ride would destroy some other rides if it had spot lights. I wish they would use something different. almost all CP coasters have spotlights or at least white lights. No more colored Giant Wheel Lights on the Trail. Sigh.:(

I agree w/ bodyinthelagoon... Lightings on the lift hill would accent MF blue track and when you go over the top you are going into the "unknown". That would be kool because you wouldn't know were you were going next. Lighting in the tunnels would be kool, but we all know that Magnum is "suposee" to have special effects in the tunnels so I would doubt it, but it would be cool!!!!

Having lights in the tunnels would be cool for another reason. People walking to or from Frontier town would be able to see the lights inside the tunnels.

Hey how about some black lights in the stations, strobes in the tunnels, spotlights on the lift, a big red siren light on top of the lift, and green lights on the Island...
..or leave it dark. I am thinking they plan on makeing Millennium Force a really great dark ride. Just think we think wow what a great ride during the day then ride it at night and say wow this is the best coaster in the Millennium. Plus it would keep the Trail and Trail rides dark. That seemed to be a big thing back a few months ago. So importent to us that they saved as many trees as possible.

It would be great to ride Millennium Force for the first time in the dark with no lights because then you wouldn't know what's next. But then you would have to wait all day to ride it.

I think the light may have something to do with the millenium celebration, ie. similar to what the lighting will be in times square New years eve.

I am hoping the lighting is similar the the lighting on Appolos Chariot!

How are Appolo's Chariot? I think the black lights in the station would be AWSOME! That is a great idea. Lights in the tunnel would be cool, but not strobe. They would shine through onto Frontier Trail and that would ruin the rustic sense of it being dark, ya know? Lights on the lift, like I have said earlier, would be great then no more lights except for the tunnels and maybe a few on the island. Something green or deep blue that way it would still be drak but lit up! What do ya think?

Good point about the strobes. Fog might also be cool in the tunnels.

I think that bodyin thelagoon is on to something. Except, how about black lighting accented around the track in a manner which would allow the track to "glow". Think about it, that bright blue track would look awesome if only it glowed like black lighting has the effect of allowing.

Based on the last three tall steel coasters constructed at CP, I wouldn't expect any more than a line of tracers on the lift. However that might be difficult since there isn't going to be a catwalk. So I'd have to agree with Dan here and say that it will probably have a lighting package similar to S:ROS where there are giant flood lights under the scaffolding supports (lift, 2nd, crossover hills).

That would be cool if they put black light on the Power Tower because white looks really cool with black lights
