The Gemini

I dont know about anybody else but my absolute favorite coaster at CP when I went in 1996 was the Gemini!! We got on right after they opened it from a breakdown. We went 5 times in a row with no waiting time! Now since I havent been since 1996 I have a few questions about it.

1.Do they still race them all the time?
2.Is it a short line?
3.How does it rank on the popularity meter at CP?

Thanks,

Oh yeah the reason I'm asking all these questions is because I'm going next Tuesday!
Thanks,

1.Not ALL of the time
2.A short walk right up to and in to the loading station.
3.Hmm... Hard to judge because the line is always short due to the large number of rides it can give having two tracks, but I kind of feel that it is the coaster that some have forgoten due to MF, Raptor, etc.

Against Ticket To Ride since day one!
CoasterChuckey is right. The Gemini is a forgotten ride with all the new stuff in the 90's. I forget about it too, but whenever I ride it, I realize what a great coaster it is. The short lines are pretty much constant and that's cool!
The Gemini is the most popular ride at Cedar Point giving nearly 3 million rides each season.

Wouldn't it be nice to build a hyper racer like Gemini? I bet it would be just as popular.

I miss the good ole' days when the Gemini's popularity was so high that the line stretched to the Witches Wheel.

When both tracks are operating, the trains are almost always raced. Last Sunday, the ride woke up with three trains on the red side, then the three trains were added on the blue side, then two trains (one pair) were pulled off in the early evening...then late in the day they might have shut the blue side down. So they went from three trains to six to four to two.

As long as everything is working properly, it is almost always a short line because of the capacity (up to 3,600 PPH!).

Gemini gives more rides each season than any other Cedar Point coaster, proving once again that a ride's popularity cannot be accurately judged by the length of the line.

I am glad that Magnum's line is finally dying down. the less lines the more rides or rerides.

Man Gemini is great, it's one of those "Must Ride" rides. Great airtime. Great headchoppers. Let's not forget great high fives. BLUE BLUE BLUE!!!
