It is a sad day for those of you who were going to be a part of the quest to ride Gemini 100 times in one day. I have officially "resigned" from Cedar Point. Unfortunately, I will not be able to return this summer. HOWEVER, I will keep my ears open to see who the new TL will be and I will pass on the word of what you guys were trying to accomplish. Who knows, maybe I'll join you on the quest!

Did i miss something here? lol What is The Gemini 100?
The Gemini 100 is exaclty that. Ride the Gemini 100 times in one day.
Tis is a sad day, how sad. I hope you can join us :). Thanks for all your help
Darn...that's a shame. Kelly was always pepping us up and getting me excited about the attempt. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do though. The show will have to go on though. Is it just me or is time starting to fly? We'll have to seriously start talking about this sometime soon, Joe. I don't know if you've found another rider, but early June is still the focus for the event. I think I'm going to be heading up there sometime in May with one of my friends just to enjoy the park and hit the Gemini a few times to find the fastest seat lines and stuff. I'm still excited, and I know we'll get the 100 laps!!!

I am all ready to promote it on my site, but no one has gotten in contact with me. Like I have always said that with this project you can't just limit it to just a few people I say make it an official GTTP meeting day.

Hey Dan, I wrote you last back on the 26th of Feb. and have been waiting for a reply back. I just figured you forgot about the whole thing, lol. Now that Kelly (the Gemini Princess/Ride TL)isn't going to be there to give us some "extra" help I guess I really don't see any reason why we can't just have it be a free-for-all deal where we all get our laps in and then when everyone is nearing 100, we get on the same train for a while. I had special reasons before why I wanted it limited to just a few people, but I've been thinking about it, and that just seems kind of selfish now. We haven't made a specific date yet, and the reason behind that hasn't changed, which has to do with pending weather conditions, so don't hold your breath on a date anytime soon until June approaches. But whatever you want to do to "promote" is cool, Dan. Just give me an e-mail about what you need. And Joe, if you need to add anything please do. And let me know what you think about a larger group organized thing.
-David...
P.S. If you're interested in joining the 100 lap quest, e-mail me at DaWoobiee@aol.com and give me your name and any ideas you have if you've thought of something we haven't or just want some questions answered. Remember you'll need a strong stomach to hit a coaster like that so many times so fast in one day.

how do you make holy water?
boil the hell out of it...
My original thought too was having everyone on the same train, and have the same count. With lots of people that's obviously impossible. I did not really there was so many Gemini Faithful. Like Dans suggestion We can all keep sperate counts and ride on sperate trains and keep a running total at the entrance. I'm sure we will all be around the same count and when everyone gets 100 we can go by the exit and open up some sparkling grape juice and celebrate, for brining alcohol into the park is a crime :-p.
Mid June I believe is the intended target date. An early Sunday in June could be a possibility since they are not that crowded and it may be a good day everyone can attend. What would be really good is everyone could get 2 consecutive days off from work, school, or whatever you do during the week. Then as the dates approach we pick one day which the weather looks nice. This could be tough though.
Remember, if you commit try not to turn to the dark side. That other larger Arrow Mine Train (not CCMR :) )and the big blue and silver monstrosity are sure going to look tempting going up the lift 100 times. We must be dedicated and give all out love to the Gemini that day.
Last thing, is everybody willing to shove our around $20 on a shirt? If we do empty out Jeff's Closet of GTTP shirts, where can we go to get our logo or whatever thrown on the back. Does Daffy Dans do that kind of thing? Any ideas?

I was thinking when everyone reaches lap #99, we'd all get on the same train for the big 100 and maybe throw confetti or something at the top of the lift hill and scream our brains out.
Remember, if you want to join, write me with your name, age, and hometown at Dawoobiee@aol.com!!!
