"The Future is Riding On It"

Although I still hate the new coaster's name, I love it's slogan. I was thinking about this today, with CP doing what will be one of their biggest ad campaigns of all time and with GL now under the SF name I wonder if their will be a huge advertising war? One thing in particular I was wondering is the Cleveland Indians and Jacobs Field? When Raptor opened up in 1994, I remember CP doing a lot of advertising at the ballpark. Since Raptor, CP has not done any adversising at Jacobs Field at all. So, with both parks doing extensive advertising, I wonder who if either one of them will become the official amusement park of the Cleveland Indians? Does anyone know anything about this or what types of advertising besides TV, radio, or internet that they will be doing?

CP did a lot of advertising at Jacobs Field this year. They didn't have the large advertisment by the refreshment stands near section 129 this year, but they ran a nice CP commercial on the Jumbotron during each game I went to. And I believe, though not sure, that they had some radio spots during the game broadcast again this year also.
I was just going to say that. Every time that commercial ran on the Jumbotron I got chills!

Last time I checked, rain delays were sponsored by Soak City.

I don't think you know a thing, cpboy, about what their marketing strategy is. If you knew, so would their competition, and they'd do everything they could to render it ineffective.

I for one am not yet convinced that they have to go far beyond what they've done in the past. As long as the agency writes good copy, or heck, no copy at all (I mean, look at the product), I think they'll do just fine.

Hmmm...That's odd, I don't remember anything at all last year at the Jake. Then again I only went down there for 3 games.

They own a bill bored here in Detroit. They always advertise the new ride on one side and either Soak City or the Resorts (last year it was both) on the other. Well to be honest I don't know if they own it but they have been advertiseing on it for a long time. I remember seeing a picture of a Gemini advertisement on it back when Gemini opened.
