You may have noticed that, upon visiting the forum, you were redirected to a different domain (forums.pointbuzz.com), and had to login again. That's because the forums have been moved to the hosted version of POP Forums. PointBuzz gets to be the first customer of this new service, and so things might break.
The long-term goals though are first to decouple the forum from the rest of the site, so the forums don't get several versions behind, while the content side can evolve at its own pace. The new forum also comes with better performance and better search. Facebook logins are back, too.
If something seems really broken, post it here, or PM me, please. Thanks!

That's because the side ads are gone, for now, but I can't guarantee that will be the case forever.

Not sure if a bug or just my OCD but noticed when updating the URL that /forums is still present as well as now being at the front. My OCD says since it's at the front that it doesn't need to be later in the URL also. As I said not really a bug (as it works just fine) but thought I would bring it up.

That's by design. It's still the same app so the paths are the same.

Not broken, but I don't like the orange color of the unread topics. The old blue color stood out a lot better.
Actually, it didn't. From a usability standpoint, it didn't work for certain colorblind people. This one objectively contrasts better in most color sets used by the underlying style framework.

When I had to login and saw the changes to pointbuzz, I was wondering what the hell was going on. Thanks for the explanation to the site change. I love the fact there's no side ads now.
I still wish we could upload images from our computers though.

Yes, that's a popular request. I'm not opposed to it, but doing it right in the context of this text editor could be a little challenging. The trick is less about uploading than being able to place the photo in the body of text. I have some ideas, but I want to stabilize this hosted platform first.

I still say the orange is too close to the red topic text color for it to stand out like the original blue and red. But my vote doesn’t count so I’ll move along.
It has to contrast to the default gray icon, not the text.

Thank you Jeff for being that rare breed of developer that considers the colorblind. The park finally figured this out and stopped the color coded park calendar I could never read without changing color controls.
I am sure it is difficult to do given the various types and degrees of colorblindness. For I stance I still can’t see the color change in linked text. One reason I like the forced underlining many sites use for that.
Yeah, that's a problem I'm on the fence about. Browsers have an override or extension allowing you to force underlining, right?
