It takes more than a year to come up with a ride. Hershey has been working on this for a few years I am sure. I think it was a great choice for that park and it will be a winner. I am interested to see if it is a 48" 52" or 54" inch ride. If its posted I didnt see it.
I will be making a trip up north to Hershey and Canada's Wonderland to ride.

I haven't been to Hershey Park in about five years. But I hear there have been some great new rides. I'll have to go back and check them out.

Yikes... I figured there would be some doubters, but I didn't think it would get this bad of a reception haha. Anyway, I can see why you'd think that it's nothing like Maverick... but come on. They're using 3 cars per train, a beyond-vertical drop, some creative inversions, and some quick turns at the end. There's at least SOME similarities. I'm just going based on my first impression of it. I saw that it went 97 degrees, and then I saw the trains, and said to myself, "hello, Maverick Jr."
If you don't agree with me, fine. But that was just my first impression.

Sorry Loops. I must have forgotten about your post when I came back to do mine because it made sense.
Goodbye MrScott

Dvo: I understand what you are saying but dont you think that Inta-ride is the one that designed the trains and found that it would be better for the shorter trains. I dont think it will be anything like maverick I just hope it can keep its inversions. If anything I could agree with it being like Storm Runner but gone wild.

I'm sorry, I'll stop making sense now.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
No please don't. There's barely enough sense on this board as it is, we don't need to lose any more.

^Ha, love it. It really is true.
Now let me write a letter to GL, tell CP to move EVERY ride at GL to the park, and stick my tongue out at Hershey saying they're a copy cat, all while complaining about Maverick's OTSR's, and what the heck is going to go in place of the Aquatic Stadium (500 footer is my guess).
Oh, I almost forgot, I'm still a little upset over the fact that Maverick doesn't have its heartline-roll, I call for a petition or better yet BOYCOTT.
And while were on the subject, I need to write CP a letter about them having to build a coaster into Lake Erie, they're running out of room you know.
And word on the street is, Magnum is sinking again, OMG!!11
How crowded do you think this weekend will be, btw?
;)

No, I don't think so. Check out the Mr. Freeze coasters. They have LIMs at the top of the tower to give the train a bit more height.
Agreed, but at that point Mr. Freeze already has a lot of momentum. Unless there is a launch to get it started, this baby it climbing up from the bottom.
Promoter of fog.
^^that's just stupid.
For the record, apparently I haven't made it blatantly obvious in my previous posts, so I'll just say it as blunt as I can. Farenheit is NOT the same as Maverick. All I'm saying is that there are some similarities. Take it easy, jeez.

I'm sorry. It wasn't anything against you or your thoughts. I didnt mean to offend (if that was at all the case) and i get your point. But i just don't think it is similar enough to be called a "spin off".
Once again, sorry to offend.

This coaster tries to be as dynamic as Maverick while being vertically challenged, and that is probably the only comparison. Not using height or speed to get the rider off, but enough twists and turns combined with air time to give all your senses a rush.
Like mentioned, a chain to pull you up, boomerang roll, vertical lift hill? The coaster looks fun, but like someone said it looks like a Maverick junior.
Maverick has way more action packed in to the ride.

I'm glad you think so. I do as well.
