I drove back there last sunday and looked at it.
If you are really that interested, its just a whole bunch of dirt. There are 3 or 4 footers (that you already saw) and a lot of construction vehicles.
Suprisingly, the area doesnt look as big as it did when WWL was there..... at least to me in my car it didnt. *** Edited 5/3/2006 9:11:12 PM UTC by Gerg***

you guys need to browse over to thrill network. someone has pictures of the footings in "swan lake". and, they're not "unauthorized" pics. there are a LOT of footings back there.
the only reason i can come up with them doing all this preliminary work so far in advance is that next winter is going to be busy building something else. (like another ride of some sort) so, by doing all the ground work now, they have that much time to do something else in the winter for the other ride.
WOW!! i had no idea so much work had already been done. i can't wait for this season and skyhawk (and i missed maXair last summer). but, i build things for a living, so watching construction like this is really fun for me. that's why i like it so much. *** Edited 5/3/2006 9:34:59 PM UTC by halltd***

Just because they weren't taken from unauthorized areas, doesn't mean that he had permission to post them.

If I worked there, I don't think I'd post pre-season pictures either. But, from his sig, it looks like he's worked there for multiple years. So, I'd have to trust that he knows what he's doing. If not, he's the one that posted them. Isn't that what we all want to see on fan forums anyways. Be honest now!! :)
But, like i said before, WOW!! Looks like something very very exciting. If you read his posts, it seems like there is a lot of work on the main site too that is covered up now by water. Not sure why they'd totally cover up footings with water in non-guest areas, but whatever.
I can assure you that the posting of those photos were not allowed by the park. And it's even worse on him if he is an employee.
