The Elusive Tunnel Rollback

On Maverick, "tunnel rollbacks" are rare due to the high speed at which the ride crests the next hill. But it still happens. Who here has experienced an elusive Maverick "tunnel rollback"?

I experienced a partial tunnel rollback either in 2015 or 2016. I was in the front row, and we stopped in the launch tunnel (I don't think we had a rollback initially.) Eventually, they launched us, but about halfway down the launch track, the LSMs turned off and the ride came to a stop (LSMs act as magnetic brakes when stopped) just before exiting the tunnel and rolled back to the pre-launch brakes.

While it would have been interesting to wait and launch through the rest of the circuit, unfortunately, the group behind us was having an absolute panic attack, which probably expedited the decision to evacuate. We had to be evacuated through a catwalk out a door in the side of the tunnel, giving Maverick the distinction of being the only coaster that I have ridden a non-whole number of times. I got some free line skippies from the whole thing, so that was good.

This remains the only time I've been evac'd from a coaster, and one of only two times I have been evac'd from a ride (I once broke down on STR before the second lift, and they evac'd us right before the station after they got the ride started back up.)

I had 4 rollbacks in one ride and eventually a walk-back (not really down) from the catwalk. It was from the lift launch, though.
Another time we sat on the final brake for what seemed like a half hour, probably more like 15 minutes, then finally walked in.

Nothing in the tunnel, though. Yet.

Never been let out of Maverick on a catwalk, but god... sitting out there even on normal summer days with the bar clamped on my thighs... It hurts a bit too much. I would hate sitting there waiting for the crews to get the go-ahead to evac
