The Demon?

Hey it's been awhile since I posted on here, but I'm back for the 2016 season! I have read about the new vintage t-shirts now being sold at the park, and plan on buying some during my next visit, but while searching online for vintage CP t-shirts, I came across a website called etsy, where they were selling a vintage 1980's CP shirt with the logo of the ride, "The Demon" on it. It has a dragon like demon on it along with the ride's and CP's 80s logo, but I cant seem to remember a ride of this name at the park. Could this have been a misspelling or orginal name for Demon Drop? It just confused me, thanks!

I found it. I've never heard of this either.

Whenever I try looking up the ride, nothing but Demon Drop comes up. Yet, I can find the shirt.

That's weird. It has the font for Demon Drop too, but I've never seen that creature ever associated with the ride.

There was never a ride at Cedar Point called The Demon. The shirt is obviously a fake recreation meant to look like a classic shirt from back in the day.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

The font seems similar to Demon Drop, so I could see this being a Demon Drop shirt.

Obviously none of us would remember every shirt made and sold in the 1980s, but Etsy is largely for people who make their own stuff and sell it, and that's what I assume this is.

They could have at least made the Demon, you know...dropping.

Promoter of fog.

I guess that does make more sense. I didn't think a ride called the Demon ever existed.

The logo is "somewhat close" to Iron Dragon's logo. However, a demon and a dragon are two different creatures...

There's also the possibility that they were thinking of the old ride at Kings Island and put it as Cedar Point instead.

Well, that was actually Screamin' Demon. Maybe they were thinking Demon at the Great America parks?

And their Demon looks like a Bat to me, which would take us back to Kings Island :-)

No, according to RCDB, Screamin' Deamon had its name changed to Demon sometime between 1977 and 1987

Obviously, what we have here is a shirt from an alternate universe CP that's somehow traversed the dimensional barriers. :P
