The crown of the tophat

I truly believe now, even though certain pieces like the steps/walkway that are supposedly going on the crown of the tophat, that the trains will be travelling upsidedown through the tophat's crown. There is not much more tower support left, and I really think that the track will be attached all the way to the crown. The twist would be halfway into the crown going up, and a half twist the other way coming back down. Now, if there will not be any more supports beyond a certain point, then the crown could be much higher and allow for a complete twist on both the launch and descent. I doubt that there will be no supports at the crown.

Go study the track pieces and you will see it's impossible for it to travel upside down through the tophat...
I reviewed some pics, and yes, the support mounts are on the underside of the curve... that does throw my theory out the window... oh well.
I know that it has already been said, but I tried to find it and could not. Can somebody tell me the name of the program that I need to watch those coaster creations on coasterbuzz.com

IT WILL NOT BE INVERTED...

The Attachment spots are on the OUTSIDE of the curve...the tophat WILL NOT BE INVERTED.... IT CANT BE!

Actually they are on the concave (inside) of the curve, proving that it won't be inverted, not the outside.

Why should they dumb down their talk? Concave/convex are perfectly wonderful English words. If you don't understand them, there's this wonderful website, www.dictionary.com

Well i learned concave/convex in 5th grade and I still remember what it means.

All Hands On Deck ;)

I think you people need to lighten up and just talk to people with respect no matter which words they prefer to use. I'm getting really tired of reading posts that are aimed towards others with negativity. Half of the posts I read on this thing say nothing more than how "Stupid" someone else is for saying something that's been said a month before. These forums are meant for all people, not just those who come on here every day. Just grow up people!
He just yelled at us for making intelligent conversation, and said that we should dumb down our vocabulary for him. That is just asinine. You tell us to grow up when he wants us to talk to him like a 3rd grader? I don't think so.

CP Bound is correct in regards to his comments on the placement of the piece they attach the track with. Sorry, did not want to use the word flange.

Anything, just make it faster! :)

I'm glad SOME people understood my point. Yes, these forums are for "everyone", so telling someone to speak DOWN to the "third grade level" is ridiculous.

Besides, these forums AREN'T for "everyone". Last I checked, you were required to be at least 13 to sign up for GTTP. Well, the "third grade level" is YOUNGER than that.

I like dictionary.com it's a good site.

Blue train always wins. . . . .Unless the red train cheats!

I also think dictionary.com is a great site....everyone should get to know it and use it on a frequent basis.

The face of a child can say it all....especially the mouth part of the face.

I think what michael Corio meant was that there is terminology for rollercoasters, and that sometimes, it would be nice if it were explained. I'm confused with many words that are used on this great site, and I think it would be best if there was some explaination to the word. Not everyone on this site know all the terminology to rollercoasters.

Oh yeah, if there's bugs on your shirt, you had a good ride.

Thank you Jeff for your work to make and run this site!

Thanks screammachinekid.

Listen guys, all I wanted to know is what do you feel the train is going to be doing on the way up and down. In basic terms, gonna twist to the left or the right etc...

And to give you an idea of who I am. I'm a computer programmer from Long Island NY. I've been to SFMM and rode on the Superman. First of all SFMM sucks compared to CP. They try and make rides like CP but cut corners all the way. Riddlers revenge is good, but Mantis is better, Magnum is much better than Viper and Goliath can't even come close to MF. They have a ride like Demon drop, but it's 60 feet shorter. As for Superman, it only goes 70% up the tower. It's a great ride, good speed, but #16 looks like it's gonna be a killer compared to it. Lastly, they call it Magic Mountain for a reason, it's a MOUNTAIN and man after 5 hours of going from ride to ride, you're exhausted. I've driven to the Point (11 hours) three times and I've always stayed at the Breakers East Suites. I can tell you it's the best amusement park around.

I wasn't trying to upset anyone. I just wanted a basic answer.

Thank you

see ya at the Point........

First off.. its silly to think that SFMM tries to replicate Cedar Point. They are two very different parks in different time zones. I'm sure they both have thier own plans and follow them pretty strictly. Though I do have a hard time believing that Cedar Point always planned on having a 400+ footer just 3 years after MF.

Anyway.. The ride will twist clockwise 90 degrees on the way up. On the way down, it will twist clockwise 270 degrees. I think its all but official.
