The crane in the parking lot?

In this photo, is this a crane? And second, is that one of them in the webcam currently? Sorry if this is stupid or has been brought up before. Thanks.

Yes that is the BIG crane that you can see in the webcam.

Thanks......thats what I was thinking. How tall do we think that is?

My guess is 275-300, when looking at it from the causeway, it's about as high as Power Tower.

Thats gonna be pretty tough construction.

The red crane IS the biggest crane of this project. When they add the extension they will figure out what they need, and put it on it. They did the same with MF's crane. Unless this project will be well over 500' they don't need another crane.

would they use one of the sky scraper cranes, they kind of look like a seven.

I know they are really easy to assemble and disassemble so it would be easy to use.

If Cedar Point was really really going for publicity, for the topmost track pieces they should get the sky-crane helicopter. Wouldn't that be cool? :)
