Cedar Point introduces a new take on a park staple known as The Courtesy Corps – park information agents who interacted with guests and provided information, all while standing on custom raised platforms. Modern versions of these stands will be located throughout the park where visitors can receive park information, have their children’s height measured, pick up park maps and show guides and have general questions answered.

I’m wondering if this will become known as “the English as a second language corps“

So that's what Siri looks like. That uniform must of been very hot to wear in the summer.

I was thinking that as soon as I saw the presentation. These poor people have no idea what they are getting themselves into.
My daughter would enjoy this job, if she had the time. As a former sweep, she LOVED helping guests, including walking up to anyone studying a park map, and answering any questions they would have. She STILL does this when we visit the park and she sees an opportunity to assist literally anyone.
In addition she picks up pieces of random trash on the midway, and resets the tops of trash cans that are facing the wrong direction. Old habits die hard.
She makes me proud.
She sounds like a great kid.
But I am worried that there is a difference between her taking the initiative to help someone who appears to be lost versus someone coming up to her when she is on her stand as the face of the park and berating her because a ride is not open.
Very true. The Courtesy Corps can’t and won’t take the place of guest services. Complaints will have to be addressed at the regular offices.
Specifically, they are there to answer “where” and “when” (scheduled events) questions, not solve problems or answer “why” questions.
I understand. I am just worried that an irate guest is going to unload on the courtesy corp rather than go all the way to guest services. I hope my doubt in humanity is wrong.

Not to worry! They weeded out all of the bad-actors with the Gold Pass-stravaganza. Only polite guests from now on!
But seriously, I can’t imagine these posts being manned on any but the busiest days. I mean, CP made a huge deal about the Cotton Candy booth by Scrambler, and I was there every day of Halloweekends for at least part of the day, and I never once saw it open. 🤷🏻♂️
All the impolite/irate guests won’t be in the park, that is also taken care of by the new led signage to fix traffic flow/congestion on way in to park.

A little random CP history... There was a reincarnation of the courtesy corps circa 2003. There were no stands or kiosk , but rather a few people who would roam the busier outdoor dining patios ( like near the corral/ burger patio).
They would wear the same uniform as area supervisors at the time (blue slacks and white polo I believe ) . The general idea was they would ask people how their food was, how their day was going, and if they had any questions. I was asked to be one, but asking people how their frozen cardboard pizza tasted wasn’t an appealing job. (Much like the pizza at the time)
Problem I feel was that version of the courtesy Corp was it was not very visible. Even you saw one dining at a patio it just looked like a food worker or supervisor, not necessarily someone you’d ask more general park questions. I don’t think it lasted more than that year maybe.
With the stands returning, I feel it will bring more visibility and hopefully will have a better shot of sticking around.

Was Courtesy Corps implemented at any point last season? I can’t see this being even on the radar this season.
From what I can remember, I don't think I saw any of them in the last season. They couldn't implement a lot of things that they wanted to last year because of the virus.

They weren't out last year. The Courtesy Corps stations spent most of the 2020 season parked in the Cedar Point Shores lot. A few of the locations seem to be pretty busy this season for things like height checks.
