The calendar

I just looked at the operating calendar on cp's site. Everyone knows they open to the public on May 4th. I could have sworn, a month or so ago, when the calendar was released, they were to be open every day from then on. Now I see they are open the 4th, closed the 5th-8th, then open the 9th for the remainder of the season. Does anyone else remember seeing the calendar say they were open the 5th-8th? I was planning on going on Tuesday the 6th. My wife and I already had requested those days off from our jobs, now we have to wait a week longer to go to the park. And if they did change the calendar, why?

No change - that's the way it was from the day it was released. It was that way last year, too.

They didn't change the calendar. At least not in the way you speak of. Both last year and this year, CP has been closed the week after opening day.

There was some discussion about it way back then. I'd be like every other idiot and tell you to use the search, but I think if they used it themselves, they'd find it to be fairly worthless. I mean maybe the 20th or so listing actually contains what you were looking for. Then you just have to search each of the 12 pages of that thread to figure out which post is relevant.

I guess I just assumed that once they opened, they opened for good. Oh well, guess I have to plan on going the following week.

I concur!! The search feature is not very user friendly. Hate to rag, Jeff. you guys do an exellent job on this site. But, that lacks something to be desired. Just some C.C. for you. I've gotten plenty in here.

The search defaults to "order by date", which is not that helpful. "order by rank" is much better and finding the Right Stuff.
