The best place to stay..

Hello everyone..

Im looking for some advice. Which of these two places would you pick to stay. There will be a total of 6 of us and these are the deals we are looking at.

Castaway Bay @ $696.00 for 2 nights includes the "package" *(Tarpon BV Package)

Sandcastle which is $539.00 for two nights that includes the same tickets as Castaway.

Kids ages are 2) 17 and 2) 14

Which one would you pick??

Thanks in advance for your help!

Vankemp, I am going Wed. :} and staying at Castaway Bay with my girlfriend and 4 kids ages 5,12,14,and 14. We are only staying one night in a Tarpon Suite, bayview. It is my first time at Castaway Bay, but I have stayed at all the other CP resorts. One benefit I can see to staying at Castaway Bay is if you get a stormy day you can go back and use the waterpark at the hotel. Sandcastle Suites rooms are kinda small for the six of you to be stuck in if that happens, plus nothing to do there except small game room. I have heard that the game room at CB is bigger, and you can go hang out at TGI Fridays and have a couple of cold ones, if you know what I mean? Plus the sofa bed you get at SS really sucks, bar hits you in the middle of the back, UUUGH. Hope this helps.

I've found sandcastle to be a bit run down. On the other hand, the teens have much easier access between the park and the hotel at Sandcastle---if they will be on their own some, that's worth considering.

If you're planning to spend all the time at CP anyway, go with Lighthouse Point. The cabins easily sleep 6. There is a private bedroom (for the parents), 2 sofa beds and a loft (which is perfect for sleeping bags). There is also a charcoal grill outside, and it was actually kinda nice to cook up some burgers at 11pm after a long day in the park. You can get a nice view of Mean Streak at night and you don't have to get in the car at the end of the day, you can just walk back to your room.

Very good point Jugg, I have stayed at Lighthouse Point twice and had a great time both times we went. Tarpon Suite also has separate room but it's for the kids, two sets of bunk beds. Jugg, what is up with the Pistons? they are starting to p--s me off.

Its not a series until someone wins on the road. I wasn't going to be suprised, or even worried if the Pistons lost both in SA, unfortunatly they didn't lose. They got beat like a fan when Ron Artest plays. I honestly couldn't watch the game, it was painful (and I was working on installing a new HDD on my PC, which is in the basement). Everytime I checked the score it was more and more depressing. Lets hope that coming back to the 3-1-3 (ok, so its actually the 2-4-8 but that doesn't sound as cool) sparks something inside the team, take all 3 here at home and then go and take 1 of 2 in Texas.

I hear ya, couldn't watch either, the only thing keeping me going is the fact that I am leaving for the Point Wed., yeeeehaaaa. :}

All good "Points"!

Im leaning towards Castaway Bay. Grady makes a good point in the event of a possible rain out, but on the other hand...If the weather is good, I wouldnt expect to be at the room very much. Oh well, I will make the decision by the end of the week AND the longer I wait the more limited my decisions may become..Ha!

Also, the cabins are already booked the days Im going, otherwise that was one of my first choices.

Thanks again,
