the arcade games at cedar point

I know Cedar Point has been phasing out the games due to lack of revenue, and I know that arcades in general have goine the way of the dodo in recent years, but does Cedar Point still have that one little arcade machine that had a fake drum machine on it and for like $2 you could play along to some rocking tunes, and if so where can I find it? Wasting $20 on this arcade drun machine and rocking out to "You Gotta Fight for Your Right To Party" and "You Only Get What You Give" and putting in way too many flashy drum fills than necessary and having a crowd of people standing around me with a "This guy is actually really good!" look on their faces was unquestionably one of the highlights of my last Cedar Point trip (about four years ago).

The official site doesn't have any details on games (the arcade type or the "guess your weight" type, or the "perform-the-impossible-task-and-get-a-stuffed-animal" type, unfortunately), so I'm asking y'all.

I'M LEAVING TOMORROW, FIVE AM!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

It's news to me that CP is phasing out games. Just this year they added a new 3 point challenge game, a new shooting gallery and expanded the Frontier Town arcade back to its full, original size. Two years ago they totally refurbished the Main Midway games, plus the arcade in the coliseum is still going strong.

I don't know about your drum machine game, but your information on games is a little off.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I think he is talking specifically about arcade games, but I can understand the misunderstanding. I do remember that game, I believe it was MTV themed. Last I saw it, it was in the main arcade very close to the large entrance facing the main midway.

Not sure if it's still there though.

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

When I heard that one interview with Dick Kinzel where he says that Top Thrill Dragster was the worst business decision he's ever made, he also talks about how Cedar Point attendees are spending less money on souvenirs and especially games than they used to (because of higher gas prices and "there's only so much money in the family to go around").

Yeah, that game is in the main arcade across from kiddy kingdom. IIRC it's in the middle of the room, MTV Drumscape is what I think it's called. I love that game, never played it at CP, though! Hope this helps, enjoy your day!

barry bonds sucks.....sorry, just thought i had to throw that in there. Hank Aaron, you're still the man.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Well THAT certainly didn't take long! I expected another 1-for-20 slump.

Yeah the drum machine is still there in the main arcade near the center now though. I just put about $10 in that a few weeks ago for my boy.

I Know the Deal Or No Deal arcade game in the main arcade gallary is always buzzzing with people, and sometimes lined up to play, good move on getting that arcade game.

Agreed. I see a lot of people in the arcades when I walk past them. Even though video game systems at home nowadays are better then ever, Cedar Point will continue to benefit from keeping its arcade games. Kids and adults who don't ride rides or want a break during the day will still go to the arcade if they are so inclined.

does cp still have that giant big a$$ pinball machine in the main arcade i havent been to the point in over 10 years

There are two Hercules tables (the "giant big a$$" machines) in the Colosseum Arcade.
