The Amazement Park!

What is it that STILL keeps you breathless when you see the point? For me it's the fact, that basically everywhere you look, there's some kind of roller coaster hill or ride top! What's yours?
It's that exact thing--that everywhere you look there's a roller coaster--that has soured my mother on Cedar Point, oddly enough. As for me, I'd say it's standing on the Main Midway, on a clear summer night, just at dusk, so the sky is not quite dark, but all the lights are on... it's just magical and that's when I just stand and smile at it all. Runner-up would be cresting the first hill on Magnum, again on a clear summer night--there's just a moment when you're right at the top, and the stars are shining, and the waves lap against the beach...and then you plunge down. Love that.
I have to say that peek back at the park skyline as you're pulling away in your car just to make sure it wasn't a dream.
For me it's those first steps into the park in the main midway, looking up, and seeing that ever changing skyline, thinking to myself "I am standing in the greatest amusement park on the Earth." Then I see some of those familiar rides that I've known since childhood, I think to myself "It's good to see my old friends again." Then 20 plus years of memories hit me all at once. Puts chills down my back and a smile on my face cause I know I'm in for one hell of a day. The only sad thought in my head is that the day will go by too fast. God I love that park.

Well it used to be, being able to see Magnum coming down the causeway. It towered over the trees with its red/orange pant. Now Millennium Force puts me in Awe

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point.
Magnum2G3 has my vote. Causeway all the way baby. Even though I have been there probably 100 times, my stomach still drops at the site of the park from the causeway. I love the feeling just after clearing that last willow tree and seeing the park cast in the midst of a crystal clear blue sky.

The whole thing! Seeing the first signs off the turnpike, driving down the causeway as the coasters rise above the horizon, closing your eyes to hear the sounds of the lift chains, screams, and laughter, and WOW! I've been there so many times, it's just like coming home.

The 3 things that leave me breathless at CP:
1-I have to go with the majority here -
definitely the causeway
2-The sound of Raptor during the test ride while waiting for gates to open (or course working there I was ALWAYS on that 1st am test ride-front car)
3-Seeing my man waiting for me at the waterball

The atmosphere overall!!! The coasters on the horizon, the smells of the midway, the music in all the queues!! I associate each and every trip to CP with excitement and excitement makes each one of my trips to CP memorable!!

mf laps = 100! No More No Less!!

The roar of Raptor and Mantis... almost everywhere you go you can hear those two. The only exception being toward the back, but Mean Streak is make there so it makes for a nice sound!
