That Person

Does anyone know who that older gentlemen is that is at the park just about everyday? I am there about twice a week (when they are open) and i always see him. He has white hair and a white beard. Does he Post on this board? What is his name?

That'd be Mr. Skyward if he's usually wearing a sweatshirt, is riding Raptor, looks skyward a lot, and mumbles. As far as anybody knows, he's not a member of this site or Coasterbuzz.

If he is the fellow I think you people are talking about, his name is John. I first met him when I tended bar in the late 80's at Daly's. A little off, granted, but a very nice guy none the less. He always comes up to me and calls me by name when he says hi. Not just at CP either. He also follows Cleveland sports teams as well as the local high school sports scene. Oh yeah, he still like to go out to the bars too on occasion.

And if I'm not mistaken, some one on this board or at CB has him in their profile photo on Raptor I believe.

Yup, that would be Mr Skyward (that's the name I gave him! ;)) He knows me and will come up to me at CP and say hi. I get him to ride Raptor with me all the time. When I'm working on Raptor he will always make sure I see him and wave.
His other handle is "Sandusky Sports Guy" because as tambo just stated he goes to ALOT of local sports games. He is also a big Cleveland Browns fan.
One of my fav CP pics is the one I took with him on the midway opening day 2002. It's a classic. The only downfall I have with him is how he ALWAYS tries to be touchy touchy with me. He is sweet as Hell and a definite CP icon.

Yeah, he rode Paddlewheel excursions ALL the time when I was a captain, and no matter how many times he heard those horrid jokes, he would let out this HUGE belly laugh. It was nice to have an appreciative rider.
