While not anywhere near complete or pretty, I'd like to start testing the photo app I've been working on occasionally for PointBuzz. You can find it here:

A couple of notes...
Have a look. Post here if you find anything that looks broken.
EDIT 6/28: I've uploaded another build that now has photos tagged. Photos that are tagged (we have to do it) have those tags appearing below the image. You can click that link to see other photos with the same tag. There is also a list of tags on the first page, below the categories, linked.
Album thumbnails are now paged per category. Photo thumbnails are paged per album or tag, and returning to the album or tag list gets you to the page of thumbs the photo you were on is contained in, if that makes sense.

I'm liking the ease of navigation so far.
One picky question. Would it be possible to have a bread crumb trail for the photos as opposed to just the site?
For Instance (if you were looking at a single picture):
Home > Photos > Roller Coasters > Millennium Force > Thumbnails
I also don't know how picky you are on design, but you may want to make room to allow for multiple lines under the photo album titles. Multi-line titles are throwing off the "grid-effect". (The Rides Album is a good example with "Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad"
Thanks for working on this new feature!

I like the layout a lot better. Looks great!

Good job! The best part is that when I click to see the next photo, my browser does not redirect me to the top of the page. This always happens in the current gallery and the site info/nav is cutting off 3/4 of the photo.
Can't wait to see a final layout.
Love the layout! Nice Job!!!!! Looks great.

I love the layout and navigation. AWESOME improvement from last gallery.
What I personally don't like is I have a "larger" screen size (1152 x 864) and I still have to scroll to view the enlarged picture its self. (Im not concerned about the gallery) Im looking out for those that have 1024 x 768 or lower.
No I don't know what people that visit this site often use but im just looking into people overall.
Other then the scrolling nothing is "broke" and everything else looks great, even if it isn't "prettied" up.

This is a dramatic improvement over the current gallery. I'm assuming you're going to clean it up a bit just so it looks a little nicer. But, it's far easier to use and way less annoying than the current gallery. Like Coastern3rd said, it's great not having the "thumbnails" go back to the beginning of the gallery when you click next.
Definatly, I give it two thumbs up. :)

Good work. I've looked through it but haven't noticed any unmentioned issues. The old saying of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" Screw that, I want bells and whistles to boot. :) Really, it is pretty good and a big improvement over the current photo software.
I do agree with Josh on the navigation. It will make it jumping around faster. I hope that you will utilize something of that nature in your final version of this photo software.
In the meantime, I've got coding of my own to do of the control system flavor.
I'll just second everything everyone has said up until now. It really is much easier to use and much more pleasant.
Thrills Around the Corner!

Is it possible to have something improved by a factor greater than infinity? ;)
Excellent job, Jeff - immeasurably better than the current setup.

I did notice one thing, not a bug but a request. I noticed that it defaults to showing 14 thumbnails, would it be possible to make that variable? So I can select 10, 25, 50 etc thumbnails to be shown at once.
Other than that, I'm liking it. Much improvement over the current set-up.

There are three reasons for that number. The first is that it's an even number around the ad. The second is that it maintains an acceptable level of performance. The third is that it keeps it close to being on the page without scrolling.

I realize that. And it looks fine, but would it be possible for a drop-down box so that I can select to see more? Usually with galleries like that I prefer to view as many as I can at once so I don't have to keep flipping pages.
Keep the default at 14, but make it so the person doing the viewing can select the number of thumbnails per page if 14 is not to their liking.

Well if you could select more, then it wouldn't perform as well, right?

I noticed something today that goes along with the scrolling. I think it would be a good idea to put the page menu (like page 1, 2, 3, etc...) at the bottom of the page too. If I scroll down to see all the pictures, I'd like the next page button to be down there. Otherwise I have to scroll back up to the top to go to the next page which is just annoying.
