Testing?

Quick question: When does Millennium Force begin its test runs?

Ok, this weekend (4/13/ - 4/14) I could have sworn I saw one of the trains running, but I only saw it once the whole day, i tried to keep my eye on it but I didn't see it again. But indeed I did see it running. OPENING DAY IS NEAR!!!

They are starting to test the other coasters like Mantis and Wildcat so Millennium's turn is near.

The MF doesn't even have the trains on it yet, they are still working on the lift wire

True I did see that yesterday the trains are sitting on the side.

I drove to CP on Monday.I saw "Wilcat" testing, "Gemini" testing, "Corkscrew" testing and I saw "Space Spiral" testing as well. I also saw "Power Tower" going but it wasnt at full speed. I saw alot of people working on the rides. I was so happy to see the rides going. I cant wait!

Which tunnel Tommy? The tunnel to the Island or the tunnel after the Island? ;)

I think since it's at the end of the offseason, it's the tunnel to the island. :) The tunel out would be like the season is ending since it basically signals the end of the ride.

Well as of Thurs. morning.. The blue train was on the ground near the transfer track.. The yellow and red aren't around yet..

Mind you this is as of about Thursday morning.

Shouldn't be long.. The State in spectors are on site at The Point so...

When I was there Sunday for training, blue was at the back of the transfer track and I saw some red cars sitting on the ground. It was weird to see blue without the words Millennium Force on the front of the car yet. The front car had just a silver front.

Today, red train was sitting on storage track,and the blue train was in station. No sight of yellow. Still two cranes around 1st overbank. Saw a couple of employees in station,so guess they are going through some training.

Does anyone know why the cranes are around the first overbank? Is this just standard ride opening procedure... or is there cause to be worried? I think I'm just paranoid that it won't be open on Sunday!

I don't think it is cause for concern. It's amazing what they can do in such a short time.

I remember back in '90 about 1 week before the park opened,I processed in and walked back to Magnum. A section of track was still sitting on ground waiting to be put in place. It was ready by opening day a week later.

So, does anybody know what's up with the crane? Earlier last week it was by the first overbanked turn and now it is at the base of the first drop. Are they touching up the paint in a couple spots, or what's going on?

What goes up, up, up, must come down and up and down and upside down and around...

No it's when there are no cranes and or movement around rides you get worried :) It's just norm/inspection prep for the season.
