On the CP map, this is marked as a CP attraction. I know this is the pedestrian crossing, but what are they doing with it? Theming? Anything else?

Where is Tenderfoot Pass? Is that the pedestrian walk under MF on the Frontier Trail? I can't find it on the map on CP's web site. I've looked at the close up maps for all the sections.
It's on the map in the Getaway Guide, I don't think it's on the map at the CP website. It may just be called an attraction because it goes under MF.

Maybe thay are making PE stop at both ends of the lagoon. That would also explain the cleared land and also bost ride attendance.
Isn't Tenderfoot a Boy Scout name or level?
I hope they do this...the themed tunnel idea sounds really cool...as they are trying to preserve the ambiance of Frontier Trail...

MF...taking thrills to new heights!
Andrew, I was a Tenderfoot in Boy Scouts! It's the first rank you get.
No, Scout is the first rank, then Tenderfoot. And for anyone interested it is followed by Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle.
By the way, are there any other Eagle Scouts on this board?

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
cpcyclone is an eagle but that is off the subject. Tenderfoot pass seems like a great concept and i really hope it is true. I am just looking forward to exploring the "new cp" and the new nooks and crannies that now embodie it.

magnum of MF now that is a real question.
I know most of you guys live in areas where the highest natural elevation is about 20 feet (and the tallest unnatural elevation is 310 feet :-), but a "pass" is usually a way *over* a mountain, not under it. My guess is that it will be possible to meander over the tunnels as well as under the ride, and the path over is Tenderfoot Pass.

Well, a "pass" is actually a path between mountains, to allow you to get through them. It may go over or it may meander through a valley. The tunnel is actually a pass between MF's hills.
One question, about how wide is the Tenderfoot Pass?

Mantis How Much Can You Stand?
Yes Natas - way back in 1987. :)
Pete, a pass is a passage through a mountain range. It is the easiest way through, typically, and ends up going up in the mountains but not to the peaks. A path between mountains is a valley... So I'm still going with the path over the tunnels.

There is no path leading over, or anywhere around, the tunnels. Check it out for yourself at www.millenniumfpics.homestead.com, pic number 3.

The photograph that coasterwhiz refers to is not indicative one way or another, as the tunnels are still unthemed. They could add a trail over the tunnels well after this photo was taken.
Anyway, obviously I know no more than the rest of you about this, but it's fun to speculate...

You think that despite that fact that there is already a path leading under the tracks, right next to the tunnels, that there will be a path leading over the tunnels. That picture was taken only a few weeks ago. All construction, except for the second station, is fisnished. All that remains is themeing -- which I would not consider a path themeing -- and special effects. Jeff, I am still waiting for your opinion. :-)
Besides, the space between the two tunnels is actually VERY limited.
There is a roofed pavilion there...
(That's all I'm going to say)
