Surveillance cameras?

I don’t know if there are any, but I personally wouldn’t mind if there were cameras on ride platforms and throughout the park. I already feel perfectly safe in the park and that is not why I would like them, but perhaps the presence of cameras would reduce the amount of smoking in the queue.

Cameras are everywhere anyway, so why not at Cedar Point?

Cameras are everywhere at Cedar Point too.

I must be totally blind. I have never seen a camera (besides on lift hills).

Are there any obvious ones along the main midway? Or are they hidden in camera domes?
They are around, but hidden well. Disney has "eyes" all over the place, and you wouldnt realize it because of the great job they do hiding them.

Smoking really bothers me. I don't enjoy waiting in line while other people are doing this. Does Cedar Point really care about smoking in the queue lines? And if so, what can they do about it?

I feel they do care, and have on every instance I've seen, the person was asked to put it out. Even once seen a person removed from line due to his cig. The problem I see is that its too hard to catch every instance and not cost worthy enough for them to hire extra security to just monitor that..They figure they already have sweepers up the wazoo, so they will just sweep up the butts as well..thats just IMHO though

What I have stared to do is police yourself..what I mean is gang up on the person to put it out and 9 times out of 10 the people surrounding you in line will join in and help, which in some cases will draw the attention of the CP workstaff, or the person will be so embarrased by his habit they will put it out. Just a suggestion as to what I do frequently

Ok, well one time, last year, in the middle of the Power tower line, there was a group of about 5 people smoking pot. yes, pot. Everyone in the line was coughing, and getting mad, all while there were about 4 policemen 5 feet away. They saw it, and did nothing. That is one time that I was angry at CP for not taking action. Once you smell pot, it makes you WANT to smell normal cigarette smoke.

well clarkbar..I bet you had an appetite afterwards that was huge..:)..I do agree though that that smell is awful, and very suprised that CP did nothing

Actually Jeffrey Spartan, regarding sweeps up the wazoo (lol), we really aren't supposed to go into the queues and sweep, the midways are our job and in front of the queues, and I always try to get the beginning of the queues too if it isn't too crowded. The ride crews have to sweep the queues (coaster crews usually sweep before opening).

The only place that I think smoking is a big problem is in the queue of the Magnum. Really that is the only queue I've ever seen anyone smoke in.
As a former smoker (4 and one half months now) :)

I personally have been told by ride ops to stop smoking in line. KBF, same thing - Disneyland, same thing. As a non-smoker, it clears the air about secondhand smoke (figuratively and literally and liTTerally - *rim shot* thanks, I'm here all week), and how much of an annoyance it is for people.

Last year, there was a pot smoking crew in the Raptor line as well, Clarkbar. Maybe the same group?

What I didn't like were people who are SOOOO vehemently anti-smoke that they make the loud *COUGH COUGH COUGH* as you walk down the midway.
That really bothers me - in line I understand completely, but just trolling along in wide open areas? Get a life -
