Superman Ultimate Escape at What Park?? Ongoing Media Confusion

I know this had prolly been done before but, I was watching a show on MSNBC about rides. Then they said somthing to the effect of "Superman Ultimate Escape at Cedar Point Ohio". Now I know it couldn't have been that hard to go to a cedar point site and see that it is not there.

If I remember right one of those shows screwed up Mantis's statistics as well but the show said was the tallest and fastest or something along that lines when it really wasn't.

Hy, when they screw up like that, it's free advertising for CP, of course I would be upset if they said MF was at SFWOA!!!!
"Well, it's in Northern Ohio so it MUST be at Cedar Point. The only other park in that area was Geauga Lake and I think that closed a couple of years ago........"

--Dave Althoff, Jr.

True enough Mr Althoff-- I wore a lovely Geuaga Lake shirt yesterday, which inpsired comments from many a former Ohioan-- some of them only recently moved out of Ohio. To a person, they were all startled to learn that Geauga Lake was now a Six Flags park with a different name each year (I can't wait to find out what next year's name is!) and about half of them lamented the departure of Shamu.
I've figured out what happened. It is quite obvious. Six Flags bought Cedar Point and only released the info to MSNBC who put it on their show to confuse people while the deal is being closed. And what is S:UE? It's the underwater looping coaster Cedar Point is going to build next year. They were just keeping in the Six Flags tradition by showing another ride of the same name from a different Six Flags park.
