Super Similar!

Holy crap does that look like the center is VERY similar to what CP is building! (Like I said. . Maybe I am just retarded. . . So if I am totally mistaken, sorry!)

Well, the coasters are build by different companies, so I think that the ride would be different too. But I wouldn't be surprised if Intamin tried to make a TA2K type ride.

The tower at Cedar Point is MUCH larger than that. It has already been confirmed that we are getting an Intamin rocket coaster (well, not officially, yet). Basically a bigger/faster version of this: http://twistedrails.com/kbf/jun23.shtml

Anyway, the legend was that Stan (who did those launched coasters in Japan and Virginia) told the first-year Power Tower crew that he was building one at CP. Some members of that crew posted here like it was the swarn truth and it was going to happen. Either they exaggerated what he said or he really said it, but either way, it obviously hasn't and will not happen.

Hypersonic, besides being short, is an AWSOME ride. It provdies a rush that no launch coaster can match.

Yeah, great launch, then you have two or three times your body weight being pressed against that narrow little lap bar. I felt that in my thighs for three days.

I thought the ride was average at best. It's reliability has been nasty.
