Super Himalaya

What is the deal with this ride? Is it being removed for the 2009 season? If so, have they announced what will be replacing it?

Why would you think they're removing the Himalaya?

I'm not sure why you would think it's being removed. Either way, it's still on their site.

I know that in previous years it was not on map.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It would be nice of they replaced the ride with something that does a different technique other than just spinning in a circle. At least make it go backwards after going forward. Matterhorn, carousel, calypso, and scrambler all have the same type of motion almost.

Hence the term "Circular flat".

Hey! Leave the fat people rides alone!!

^ sorry! Ya, that's what I meant, Circular flats!!:)

I find that the ride sensation delivered by Super Himalaya is quite different than a ride on any of the other spinning rides that you mentioned. The motion is very similar to Matterhorn, but the non tipping seats gives it a different feel. As Detroit Basketball said, it is nice that pretty much anyone can ride it. It is a very fun family ride. My daughter and I had a great time on it last year when I pretended that she was squishing me.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!

If I started a thread asking what the deal with Magnum was, and are they removing it would people start an in depth discussion? How can you start a thread like this and not even say a reason for thinking this?

Super Himalaya is not going anywhere, they always take it apart for winterization.

What's with the totally random thread? It's like saying, "What's up with [any ride]?"

I hopr they keep the flat rides! I know I can't do the spinning anymore like when I was younger, but there are many who don't do the coasters! I myself love the coasters, but in order to keep it a family park, they need to keep a variety of rides!

Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

Super Himalaya is not going anywhere.

Hey what's the deal with white water landing... I can't seem to find that ride these days... ;)
